Cobra didn't do seat mounts when I spoke to them 6 months ago, you need to use aftermarket ones. They were looking at making some car specific ones, but I've not followed this up.

Rouge buy the parts in and then fab the exhaust in house. Probably best to speak to them @Adi

@vanko25 recently changed his original cluster to a 2017+ cluster, might be worth sending him a PM.

Visit this website: https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall and then click the: Check if a car has a safety recall link. You enter the reg and it lists the MOT history and any recalls. You can also check on the Toyota website here: https://www.toyota.co.uk/owners/vehicle-information/recall-checker but this won't show you the MOT history.

Welcome Mick It might be worth popping into Evan Halshaw in Walsall as they have a black 2014 (63 reg) car, for £10,770. Not sure if it has SatNav, however it doesn't have any out standing recalls and has 11months MOT (till Oct 2020): https://www.evanshalshaw.com/search/vehicledetails/used-car-toyota-gt86--manual-petrol-white-coupe-sm63opk/ I'd recommend you take your time and read up on the Recall as, due to your budget you'll be buying a car around the affected age (12-14) Thanks Will

You can get a specific tool to measure tyre hardness, it's called a durometer. It'll help you get an idea of how hard your tyres are, ideally you need to have a baseline to begin with when the tyres are new. )

For daily use I run mine at 5 clicks from full stiff(front & rear), after alot of trial and error I found it gave the best sporty ride without sacrificing too much comfort.

Hi @Rob@FrankieJ's It'll be worth having a read of both @smudge build thread and @Samwise build thread (could be the one @ttjt16 is referring to). With regards to a shell, speak to the guys at Roger Clark Motorsport (the Subaru specialist) https://rogerclarkmotorsport.co.uk, as they had one they were selling recently. It might also be worth speaking to the guys at Turbo Monkeys as they buy alot of salvage cars to sell on / do up. https://www.facebook.com/Turbomonkeytuning/ Finally here are a couple of companies that have done engine swaps on an 86/BRZ (that I'm aware of), Carson performance, MnM Engineering, Rogue Motorsport & Turbo Monkeys. Also worth a read is Nigel's build thread:

Hi Mark Do you specifically want that one? Myself & @Deacon have the Block8Head one which goes in the dash air vent and have a dual Spa Design Oil Temp & Pressure guage. See @Deacon's build thread: A fellow member Dilan is selling a dual version on the Facebook sales page, here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1581880765452137/permalink/2097889147184627/?sale_post_id=2097889147184627

It's normal, had it for a couple of years when using the stock exhaust, it's not as noticable on my current setup (then again it's not really been cold enough for me to notice it recently)

General FI questions - Rod strength and supercharger whine
will300 replied to Leeky's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
It's £4734 inc VAT for just the supercharger at the moment (within the last week). -
I just want to say a big thanks to @Lucas@PartBox for providing an extremely effiecent service on a recent order, including discount code and arranging delivery of the parts directly to me. Thank you very much.

I got them for ATS Euromaster, however that was when they had money off Yokohama tyres and 10% fitting, so got an exceptionally good price. They are cheaper on Camskill now.

General FI questions - Rod strength and supercharger whine
will300 replied to Leeky's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
That's interesting and not something I was aware of, have you got any more technical details on this? I don't disagree with this, however they've developed a base tune, that works with their package. However not everyone is using the full Cosworth package, therefore it's no longer going to be producing the exact figures as Cosworth's development engine. I'd personally rather have a custom tune for my engine. -

Here are a couple of the reasons: Design: a. I don't like the throttle body position on the Cosworth. b. The Cosworth in-take pipe looks cheap and I've seen several people have issues (not with the in-take pipe) and have to remove it, its then a pain to refit. c. You need to cut a small section out of the bonnet for the Cosworth in-take pipe to fit, at the back by the throttle body. d. The Harrop is a one piece design whereby they have made the intake manifold and supercharger housing as one. On the Cosworth system they have basically bought the Supercharger and bolted a intake manifold on top (I appreciate it's not quite that simple). e. The Harrop has a lower profile due to its design. f. The Harrop doesn't require a coolant bottle and the intercooler pump is hidden. Performance: a. The Harrop uses the TVS1320, which has been proven to produce over 400HP on our platform. I'm sorry Cosworth you haven't shown us any actual dyno graphs showing 380HP (not that I can remember seeing). If I end up going built motor I'll want the capability to run atleast 400HP. b. To increase the power on the Harrop you simply buy a smaller pulley, there are 95mm to 65mm options. With the Cosworth you need to mess about with crank pulleys etc. Cooling: The Cosworth wins on this front, but the differences are only marginal and there are a couple of options available to improve this on the Harrop. I've seen both system run on track at the same time and and perform flawlessly, so I know they are both efficient in this regard. Tuning: There is no difference is tuning, sure you have all the development done by Cosworth to develop a safe map but Matt (Cosworth) has only got the same tuning platform (Ecutek) to work with as Adrian (Fensport), Mark (Abbey) & Mike (TD) and Adrian & Mark have acknowledged that they've worked with Matt to develop various maps for different cars. Cost: They both work out to be about the same at the moment. That's all I can think of at the moment, please bare in mind that these are my opinion, I'm sure some won't agree but they are the deciders for me. I'll also say, I was booked in to have a Cosworth SC fitted at one stage, but changed my mind because at the time I didn't want to spend the money. -
Update 27/08/19 - Bedford Trackday Another trackday at Bedford, this was pretty much the same as the one on the 22nd July, with 30°c heat. I was trying to find a good tyre pressure balance to limit the amount of sliding after an extended period. It felt like I only really got one good sessions at about 3:30 in the afternoon, when everyone had left and the track was basically empty (driving standards were abit hit and miss during the day). Still I was impressed with how the tyres held up and the amount of grip they provide. I was concerned when looking for a more track focused tyre that it might over tyre the car, for my level of driving. However after a couple of days I'm now happy with the balance and control provided by the tyre. It's definitely a good purchase for someone looking for a dual duty tyre with a more track focused bias. In general driving they a comfortable, quiet and I've had no issues driving in the rain with them. Unfortunately the day wasn't completely without issue, when going for fuel during the lunch break I noticed the car sounded alot louder than normal, on returning back to the circuit and checking the car over I found that the exhaust had cracked and was blowing quite badly 😟 knowing that I still had the afternoon and another trackday two days later, I decided to just carry on (more later). Here's a couple of photo's from the trackday: (I didn't kill the cone, honest)

Update - 22/07/19 - Bedford Autodrome testing the AD08RS I finally got to test out the all new Yokohama AD08RS tyres at Bedford Autodrome, I fitted them to the car a week before the trackday. They are noticeably more grippy than the Michelin PS4 and surprising a lot quiter. Also the car feels alot lighter, this however could be down the lighter 949 Racing wheels as it's been a while since I last used them. On track the tyres have lots of grip (you can hear me LOL at the grip in the video) with a good balance and durability seems very good considering the tempature was a relatively hot 30°c. They did start to slide a bit after about 5 laps, which meant coming in to the pits and lowing the tire pressues, which helped. I was running them at 30psi hot. Here's a couple of pit lane photo's and a onboard video:

General FI questions - Rod strength and supercharger whine

I was speaking to a trader a couple of weeks ago about a number of things, including supercharging. He then informed me that Cosworth only have 8 supercharger kits left available in the UK. When I go FI it'll most likely be the Harrop (there are a number of reasons why I prefer it over the Cosworth), for those that are interested your are looking at just under £6k fully fitted and mapped (including new engine oil) for the Harrop from Abbey. -
Hi Everyone Here are my photo's from Japfest Donington on Saturday 13th July. (For those not on the Facebook group) I think I got everyone's car, if I missed you out sorry. Thanks for looking Will

Some people will try and sell them at shows, however it's very rare. I'd just keep an eye on the forum and see if any come up for sale. -

@MartinT, Speak to @Mark Gillam (Abbey Motorsport) -
I generally run them at around 30PSI when hot on track. I will also check the pressure every couple of sessions.
