right... front is much better than stock on bends and roundabouts... i mean much better. back of the car is not sticking as much as stock. or i feel it that way. because i feel like car is jumping rather than a smooth slide. Definitely road car not track...at least for now... (couple of years I guess) So dear sirs/madams; what should be the pressure? 32?
-
I also said the look is more important to me. thats why i've gone for 18". I am actually happy with the look but over 110mph it shakes. maybe the tyre pressure. but what is the correct I think i will sort that out. oh btw tyres are 2 days old maybe that was the problem as well...

Hahahaha.... You Keith! So Lauren, I should lower it as well? BTW garage told me that I need brake pads soon. Any suggestions? I prefer non-noisy ones if there is any. Other than that I have to admit, Goodyear F1s are not as good as stock Michelin's. On the high speed run I can feel the car is going everywhere. And it is dry also. Or do I need to change something with geometry after 18" upgrade?

oh thought Koni's are as kit...
-
you are currently on KONI's if I am not wrong. I was using them on my MR2... What are the details of your TEINs? You can pm me the price if you want...
-
im not hitting them because i am doing under 20 lol i live in a road with 20 speed limit. full of speed bumps. i just pass them with 17. if it is 23 it hits. very high bumps tho... apart from that, work place has strange pavement which hits from front but not from back... anyway, i might be thinking about lowering the car but later on. it is too much for now. i guess all i need is eibach springs, isn't it? i dont want to buy shock absorbers tho...
-
im not sure about suspension yet... do i really need lower the car? it is low enough to hit bumps already... but eibach springs are only £250 and very tempting tho...

The MUST show either Toyota badge or TRD (most probably Toyota Badge). They are 18" Team Dynamics / Imola's with Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 225/40/18 ET45

man, all the uploads are failing... any other option for attaching images? You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community. ???

in this case continental sport contact 2 or pirelli pzero nero are the options...
-
ok found my alloys. i would like to buy tyres fitted from the company. there are some options however GY F1 is not in. So far I can get these: PIRELLI PZERO NERO (most expensive) CONTINENTAL SPORT CONTACT 2 YOKOHAMA PARADA SPEC2 (PA01) YOKOHAMA S.DRIVE (AS01) FALKEN ZE914 (least expensive and top seller) and some more tyres like nankang, achilles, kumho etc... I am extremely confused. on forums contis are better, on tyre review web falkens. Even though, pirellis has very bad points. what is going on? unfortunately they dont do contis sport contact 5... i personally not after yokohamas as they are mostly for track use (afaik) in this case my options are; Falken ZE914 and Continental Sport Contact 2 (because I have no idea about the most expensive option of Pirelli's) So any experiences on here?

wait... I'll PM the link

G-Grid Ultralite... I've found nice looking 18" ones. Are they any good? Also he says, I need spigot rings which I never heard either. Is it safe to use? Again, I do drive fast sometimes and drift a bit but I don't do tracks. Any ideas about those alloys? Also they come with Nankang Ultra Sport NS2 215/35/18/84W. I am not keen on Nankangs tbh but probably better than my stock Michelins. Not sure tho. Please help me to choose guys. Really don't know much about the tyres.
-
hahaha... Keith is right Lauren so my biggest concern is the look and TRD has no problem putting 18" on it then i probably go for 18's... bit pricey ouch!
-
thank you Keith. I think whatever I choose is going to have a better grip than stock Michelins. those Michelins (for rears) last to me about 13000 miles... fronts are still ok...and that was before exhaust and ECU upgrade lol I also have a baby who is 5 months old. I want to have some grip, too. The problem is, I strongly believe those test results are biased by advertise and payments. I need really, a driver who experienced all... as you said, price difference is minimal so I am accepting that they all are same class tyres...

Michelin: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/team-dynamics/imola/black/18-inch/225-40-18/michelin/pilot-sport-2/y-max-186-mph Goodyear: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/team-dynamics/imola/black/18-inch/225-40-18/goodyear/eagle-f1-asymmetric-2/y-max-186-mph however since you said 17 is better, there is no Michelin option. Mind you, I am not doing any track drives... All for road, motorway, daily etc...

I meant, I don't care about tyre noise because my exhaust is loud enough... it was sort of a joke. please Lauren, I know you are experienced driver and you seen more than me. I need your help on that wheel+tyre decision. I was reading about team dynamics imola and it has good reviews. I am definitely after a Y spoke alloys and definitely black. I wonder which one should I go for... Goodyear Noise: 70dB, Wet grip: A, Fuel efficiency: C Michelin: Noise: 71dB, Wet grip: A, Fuel efficiency: E 17" or 18"? TRD has no mods but handle with 18" so I guess 18 should be ok but which tyre? I am open for any suggestions...
-
anyway, any ideas? michelin or goodyear? http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/team-dynamics/imola/black/18-inch/225-40-18/goodyear/eagle-f1-asymmetric-2/y-max-186-mph how about that link? are they any good?
-
thanks pitman... what are you doing here? isn't steve keeping you out of the forum? lol
-
are you happy with GY's? really? where? i am losing myself in any forum... can you show me the link?
-
I have a question... Michelin Pilot Sport 2 or Goodyear eagle F1 Asymmetric? According to EU tyre labels, (A is best and G is worse) Goodyear Noise: 70dB, Wet grip: A, Fuel efficiency: C Michelin: Noise: 71dB, Wet grip: A, Fuel efficiency: E Some say, Michelin, some say Goodyear. They all same price but what I am looking for is grip and reliability. Well, actually reliability is important. Grip is 2nd and economy is 3rd and noise... umm not important at all as i have non res exhaust lol Any ideas? Oh btw, 17" or 18"? found these: http://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/team-dynamics/imola/black/18-inch/225-40-18/goodyear/eagle-f1-asymmetric-2/y-max-186-mph especially asking for Lauren

Porsche is good but this one was my design so I am happy with it. It looks great under city lights at night.
