No, because understeer is safer than oversteer and trying to avoid whatever you're about to hit is better than just jamming the brakes on and hoping to stop in time

    Californian BRZ vs Mustang comparison

I think the Mustang live axle is there purely because "it always has been" and Ford don't want to try to sell a Mustang without one - because it wouldn't be a Mustang if it didn't have a live axle would it...!!!

    RallyGB

Awesome! I caught the Sunseeker rally in Poole, got the flyers about Wales Rally GB, really wanted to go, then realised I'm in London with the misses all weekend... What (type of) car are you going to be in? Good luck, hope you have a great time!

    Is anyone a Speaker nerd?

won't you get peculiar separation effects if one speaker feeds the other?? You could look at the 2.1 surround speaker sets, they tend to have better more bass from the subwoofer with the amplifier built in and it makes a good footrest when you're on the computer too... Plus the satellites are smaller and easier to fit on the desk too...

    Pimp My Ride

Bulletproof Automotive x Scion Concept One SEMA Preview 10/29 - Our most ambitious project debuts today. We convinced our friends at Scion North America to let us build them a complete FR-S Supercar. We believed that if we applied our custom car building knowledge and rebuilt the car completely in all areas that we could build a car worthy of being the Lexus LF-A's baby brother. It was a hard challenge, besides getting a power/weight ratio exceeding the LF-A we had to work on creating a supercar feel in all aspects. This meant replacing every interior component with carbon fiber, alcantara and gold accents. This meant replacing all of the body work, suspension, brake system, engine...basically everything. The result retains the amazing lightweight 86 chassis and provides a pure drivers car paired with exotic materials and exotic performance. We're proud to introduce the complete car and vision we call the Bulletproof Automotive FR-S Concept One. 500hp, less than 3000lbs (1,360kgs by my conversion), exotic materials everywhere, supercar grade bodywork, Lamborghini paint and a proper 6MT.

Mine don't seem to be working... on the "other" forum when I write a reply to a topic it subscribes me automatically and then I get emails when there are more replies so that I can keep up... This forum doesn't seem to do the same and it is making it hard to monitor both forums - which I foresee is going to be especially crucial after the ban-gate saga...

I'm getting updates galore from the other threads I have posted in so I'm happy to say that the forum appears to be working like a proper forum now, and that makes me happy :-) *performs a silly dance*

How dare you try to bring this back on topic!! have a random panda video from YouTube to balance things out again... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=006ip4ndThE

It's not a bodykit... I think if you read it they said they were making a supercar out off the GT86 and basically took everything apart and re-did it... So it's not even a race car either... I think it is an interesting exercise but the interior uses waaaaay too much red... Certainly makes a statement though!!

    Winter tyres

I think you can get a GT86 in Japan that comes with 16" steels, its not the "poverty" spec, its the "I'm going to modify my car so I want a cheap one to start with" spec although it is less expensive it does without some of the glitzy bits modifyers change straight away anyway - i.e. alloy wheels. And yes, they get a helluva lot more snow in parts of Japan because they have actual mountains as opposed to the large hills we have across most of the UK. (Admittedly there are some mountains in Scotland, I left my flame suit at home )

Apparently it is alcantara, but yes, still far too much red for me!

    Seems about right

    Winter tyres

Nope, my winters are on 16" Subaru alloys, same as one of the Keith's I think... They are 205 width, definitely 16" but not sure 100% on profile... I'll maybe have a look tonight.

    Winter tyres

Yokohama W-drives, in 205 55 16 I think - this is one of the sizes specified in the handbook :-) Winter tyres were good last year, only just getting to be cold enough for them to make a difference down here in the sunny South though...

It notified me of the last response from Keethos, but not the intermediate ones... Possibly it thought I was still logged on or something...? Otherwise I'm using I.E 10 at work, I've not tried Chrome at home but who knows... We'll see if it sends any more notifications for any topics I'm subscribed to...!

    That's a nice milk float :)

uhuh, I agree, it will be appealing once the price comes down in a few years... Of course, the only problem is that the main reason why the batteries are expensive is because of the rare earth metals used to produce them, and they're called Rare for a reason, and everyone knows that rare = expensive. Hence until there are dramatic improvements in the efficiency of everything else so that smaller (and hence cheaper) batteries can be used - OR new batteries come out with improved energy density and less expensive construction - there will never be a car that manages both "luxury" and "electric" without a serious price tag...I'm not saying it won't happen, but in my opinion it is a lot further away than people in general expect.Otherwise, for an expensive electric bus it doesn't look too bad...

    10 deadliest roads

Is now the time to point out that it is not necessarily the road that is deadly, but the people driving on it...The only one on the list I know I've been on off the top of my head is the A285 from Chichester to Petworth and I agree, it is a bit gribbly in places as it goes up into the Downs... plenty of trees to hit shall we say...!
  21. I think he should have bid a bit more for the full sideways experience... think of the tyre bills...!

    Cheap Halfords trolley bundle

My spare wheels are hung on simple shelf brackets with pieces of wood on top of the bracket so there is no metal-to-metal contact.I did have them stacked at the back of the garage but in the end I figured they would take up less space upright on the wall than stacked - I can park my car "under" the wheels now rather than both taking up floor space...Otherwise, the kit looks like a good price but I have collected all of it previously so I won't need to buy it again!

@LFA & Rob275, the email is theoretically not legally binding until you print it on real paper...

    are these things normal?

Mine does both. There is a thread on ft86club.com about shifter rattle - I think, because I can't bloody find it... - and I get the same idle wobble occasionally when cold but it never gets totally out of control and I just call it "character" :-)
