Looking to free up some space. OEM alloys already had winters fitted when I bought the car in December. One alloy has been kerbed abit which you should be able to spot in pictures, other than that they're in good condition, were holding air no issues when last on the car. Not 100% on tread depth but I'd say maybe 5mm minimum on all of them. Looking for £200 ono, they're located near Doncaster but I work down in Hampshire so don't mind lugging them down if someone is interested.. Cheers..

Wanted something that would contrast more than silver, was very tempted to do them black or maybe even green like my last car but I don't like having too many different colours on the car and Its already got red accents on it other places so figured they would tie in nicely. Each to their own I guess, granted its abit brighter than I was hoping for but they'll do..

Hey folks.. So I've been knocking around the forum a few months now, thought I'd create a little space to introduce myself and my 86.. So after 6 or so years of owning several Skodas, culminating in this... I came to the conclusion It was time for a change.. Although I'm due to become an Uncle this year so obviously the car would have to be practical and able to fit child seats, so after watching numerous Chris Harris videos decided to treat myself to an early Christmas present.. Car stayed completely stock barring winter tyres (which the car came with) for a couple of months, during which time I learnt three things.. 1- A mapped diesel Skoda Is faster than an GT86.. 2- A GT86 is even more fun than a rented Mustang.. 3- The internet lied, speed isn't everything.. Still not wanting to do anything major, I got hold of some bolt-on Eibach spacers to make the wheels abit more pokey.. 20mm front and 25mm rear.. And that was it for another few months..

Cheers dude..! Glad to be of service I used a couple cans of spray paint, since I was planning on taking it all to bits anyway. I have used brush before with calipers in situ on my old car, still possible to get good results, just abit more fiddly..

Not a bad turnout.. -
Paints4u.com. That makes sense given Subaru makes it, I just assumed it'd be a Toyota code.

Thanks! First delivery was a set of Valenti V2 sequential taillights.. While I'm on the subject, I ordered a few bits from Fensport during that week and all arrived next day, great service..! Then shortly after, a Top Sage TRD style ducktail spoiler. Came unpainted black ABS plastic, no adhesive or fasteners. Fairly decent quality but needed abit of smoothing, so que the sandpaper/micromesh and spray filler, soon to be followed by 61K paint, or as Toyota imaginatively named it "Dark Grey".. Also took the liberty or removing all unnecessary badging off the back. Finished product abit orange peely, but some micromesh and a good polish will sort that later. Used Halfords spongy double sided trim tape to secure/seal it, however discovered at the last minute the OEM spoiler screws are smaller than the fitting in the Top Sage spoiler, quick trip to B&Q and I managed to get some the right size, and got the spoiler on. Broke out the tar remover and a clay bar to get the residue from the badges off, then time for a quick detail and some Dodo juice Purple Haze..

Left the car sitting for 3 months while I was away working, came back reconnected the battery, and she ran perfectly then proceeded to jump start all the other dead cars in the car park.. Had a couple weeks off at home up north so decided to get a few projects on the go to occupy myself.. First was to sort the brakes, discs were abit pitted, and the calipers looked abit sorry for themselves. So got hold of some Hycote caliper paint, EBC discs and EBC yellowstuff pads. And since I'd be taking the whole system apart anyway, figured now would be a good time to swap in some EBC braided lines too. Two days and one twitchy bum moment when I nearly rounded the last line fitting, all done, bled and topped up with Castrol React performance fluid. While I was waiting for the calipers to dry I also had a exciting delivery from Fensport...

Then it was time to disappear off again with work for a few months, so decided to treat the car to a few bits before I abandoned it.. Firstly some Japan Racing JR3s, and Avon ZZ5s to go on them, I've always put Michelin PS3s on the Fabia but figured I'd give the Avons a go.. And some Tein lowering springs.. I had coilovers in my last car and plan on getting them again for the 86 at a later date, but for now these will do.. Since I'd put 5k miles on it by this point, thought id give it an oil change too so splashed out on some Millers Nanodrive NT+ and a shiny red TRD oil filter..

Have you considered rolling the arches abit.?

Ive got 2x20mm and 2x25mm bolt on Eibach spacers that I was running on front and back of mine with stock wheels for about 4 months. Took them off because the new wheels I got had much smaller offset.
-
I can recommend taking a look at Japan Racing but only because that's what I went with, really it's a matter of personal taste and budget.. I've not had any problems with any brand in particular so can't really comment on that.. I would say steer clear of replicas, the kind that are all over ebay, I've seen what can go wrong with them..

Hey Folks, been following the Facebook group since I got my car just before Christmas, finally got round to joining the forums.. I work down in Hampshire but have family In South Yorkshire so can be found up there fairly often.. Picked my 86 up 4 months ago with 20k miles on the clock, currently standard although fitted a new set of Japan Racing JR3s at the weekend.. Look forward to meeting you all..!
-
This..! I was thinking exactly the same because I also really like the JR5s, but my last car had Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s which were great, until you had to clean them..
-
I got my wheels and tyres delivered separate, took them to garage to be fitted/balanced then took them home and put them on the car myself.. The garage offered to fit them but I didn't want to drive home with dirty old wheels in the car.. I would mention if you decide to do the same, you run out of space pretty quick trying to fit 4 wheels an tyres separately into an 86.!

Definetly! Ive not seen any others about down here yet, up for a little meet..! My Easter weekends looking quiet so far haha
