    Alloy wheel help

If light is what you’re after, the 17x8 et35 Regamasters I have for sale will be hard to beat. Forged aluminium, well under 7kg each.
  2. Bump, still available, start your new year off with a sweet set of wheels Open to sensible offers so don't be shy.

    For Sale: 2013 Grey GT86

Still available, if it doesn’t go soon it will be traded in so any offers considered.
  4. Weird, just checked and my inbox isn’t full. They’re being sold without tyres as they’re the standard Michelins - I’ll need to put them back on my oem wheels to sell the car.
  5. Hello, Car is now unfortunately for sale so it's time to let go of my wheels too. Spec is: Desmond Regamasters 5x100 pcd 17x8 et35 Freshly refurbished with less than 2k miles on them since, no damage to them at all and not previously repaired. Colour is a satin gold, very close to the original finish. Currently fitted with generic ebay TRD centre caps, easily removed. For those that don't know what they are, Desmond Regamasters are forged aluminium wheels, supposedly originally built in Russian tank factories after the war. They are incredibly light, with this size coming in at around 6.8kg each, so a good weight saving over stock, despite being an inch wider. These wheels are discontinued and are exceptionally rare, especially in this fitment - I know of only one other set in the UK in this spec. This is almost certainly the only set on a GT86 in the UK so if exclusivity is your bag, these are for you. It took me many months of trawling Japanese auction sites to find them; eventually they were imported earlier this year and refurbished to a high standard. As a result of them being so rare, I'm finding it quite difficult to price them, they owe me around £1500 when taking in to account import taxes and refurbishment but with an impending house purchase they do need to sell. I will offer them here for £1400 or nearest offer. I am based in Bedford, collection very much preferred or courier can be arranged at buyers cost. Pictures on the car are below, any questions, fire away. More close up shots to come.

    Worst Car Ever Driven

Vauxhall Mokka courtesy car, it's like they never took into account actual human dimensions when designing it. Everything felt like it was too far away, steering wheel obscured the dials, terrible visibility, just a complete lack of ergonomic design. Hateful thing.
  7. Sooo...this sucks but, reluctant sale of my 2013 GT86 due to an impending house purchase. Spec '13 plate GT86 in dark grey 45k on the clock. MOT until March 2019. Black cloth interior. Standard Toyota head unit with sat nav. Full Toyota service history. Service due soon so I will have this done for the new owner. Modifications BC Racing BR Coilovers fitted less than 3k miles ago at Tuning Developments. Tuning Developments Resonated cat-back exhaust. Gives a great sound, not too loud and zero motorway drone. Stoptech front and rear brake pads and standard front discs. Uprated Focal IS165TOY front speakers. Beatsonic shark fin aerial. Replica TRD spoiler (still have the standard spoiler if it's wanted) Bad Points Couple of marks/stonechips as to be expected, previous owner looks to have tried to repair a small scrape by the rear tail-light with a touch up brush, maybe 2 inches or so, not that noticeable unless you look for it. The paintwork is in great condition overall. Wheels have a couple of small scrapes from the previous owner. Location / Price The car is currently located in Bedford (MK42) Price is £12.5k ono. Please get in touch if you have any questions or would like more photos - I'll get some interior and engine bay shots added asap. Pics below, more can be seen on my 'mod' thread here ***Please note that the car will come on standard wheels, not the gold Regamasters pictured•••

    Grey GT86 by Nimz

Sooo, long time since I've updated this, few changes have happened. First was to finally fit my genuine, totally legit, replica TRD spoiler, shipped painted from Taiwan. Shockingly the paint was a perfect match and the fitment was spot on, all for less than £150 Then I met @Paul in a Tesco car park to buy his old Tuning Developments Resonated exhaust, got it fitted it straight away and very happy. Rest of the system is stock but this still gives a good bark when flooring it but no drone in the slightest on the motorway, perfect. Next was new wheels. I've been running stock for a long time after selling my old Works, that ended when, after months of trawling ebay I finally found a set of Desmond Regamasters. For those that don't know, these are long discontinued wheels, forged aluminium wheels, built in Russian tank factories and are incredibly light. The 17x8 et35 set that I found clocks in at just over 6kg each. So, they were shipped over from Japan, refurbed and after another Tesco car park rendezvous, this time with @Deacon for some new wheel nuts, they were complete. After all that, I'm still not sure if I like them I was hoping for a shade or two darker/bronzer to suit the grey car more but they're growing on me. Anyway, here are some pics of how she sits now:
  9. Works: 18x9.5 et38 Regamasters: 17x8 et35 On the Works I was running 235/40/18 Yokohama v105s, with the extra width and better tyre there was a bit too much grip for stock power. You could tell that they were heavier, very slightly slower to pick up but not major, the Works are fairly light considering the size but with the larger tyre too they were heavier than stock overall. The Regamasters I’m just running the stock Primacy tyres as I liked the playfulness of the stock car. For any track work though you’d probably want to go for a better tyre. You can feel how light the wheels are over stock for sure, quicker to pick up. Overall if you’re just driving on the road the differences aren’t major, I wouldn’t go for very heavy wheels though. I’m running BC coilovers, not sure how low they are set, probably 50-60mm lower than stock.
  10. Yeah the Honda guys went for the Spoon SW388 which were pretty much Regamasters. The Works look amazing, especially in wider widths but the Regamasters are so much lighter so it’s a form vs function decision. These are the Regas: And these were the Works:
  11. Can’t go wrong with Rays 🙂 I went for a set of Work Emotion CR’s and now I have some Desmond Regamasters, the latter being a bit of a unicorn wheel, discontinued a long time ago.
