Awesome, thanks mate

Looking great, thinking about paying Mike a visit in the new year for the na package too. Where did you source the BRZ trims for the front wings?

Looks lovely, always had a soft spot for these, how is the power delivery compared to the 86?

Hello all, This isn't something I want to do but unfortunately I'm having to sell my Works. I bought these from a club member earlier this year and had them fully professionally refurbed and powder coated in a beautiful satin bronze. As per the thread title they are 18x9.5 x et38 - as long as you are on coilovers there are no fitment issues whatsoever and no rubbing problems. I also had them fitted with brand new 235/40/18 Yokohama Advan Sport v105 tyres. Since the refurb I have done less than a thousand miles on them so the wheels are completely unmarked and the tyres are almost as new. I will also throw in a full set of black Mishimoto extended wheel nuts with 4 locking nuts - these have a few marks on from removal/fitting and a couple of the nuts have small chips on the edges where the wheel brace has damaged them but does not affect fitment at all. I spent weeks researching wheels before making this choice, they suit the 86 perfectly and I am absolutely gutted to let them go so soon but needs must. If you are interested please let me know before I come to my senses and keep them. Pics below, shout if you have any questions. Collection preferred as I would hate for them to be damaged by a courier, location is Otley / LS21. Also happy to meet people half way etc. Price: £1400 ovno. Thanks guys - so the 25mm spacer you're running is definitely flush with the wheel studs @Varelco? Do you think 25mm spacers on the front is too much - assuming the wheels are similar specs to standard? Not keen on cutting down the wheel studs but the wheels I'm looking at don't have the same rear recesses that the stock wheels have.
-
Hi all, Could anyone who is running 20mm or 25mm hub-centric spacers please let me know if the standard wheel studs protrude beyond the spacer? Just asking to see if I can run wheels without recesses on the rear to accommodate wheel studs protruding further than the spacer itself. I know I could just go and whip a wheel off and measure my own studs but it's -2 outside and I'm allergic to the cold Rich

Haha, well if you do I can always drop them off to you next time I’m visiting my family in Bedford

Spacers and/or the gram lights you posted about before still kicking around by any chance? -
If the valenti sale falls through please let me know

Hello, Never been a big fan of the big silver logos on the GT86 front wings. Anybody got a set of BRZ trims/covers/vents/whatever they're called for sale? Or TRD fins maybe? Rich

Hi mate, welcome to the club. Thought I recognised the car, I follow you on Instagram already - I’m on there as @rich.darling.photo 😊 Car is looking great, any more plans for her? Rich

Yep, just the way it is, when I go from my girlfriends Golf to the 86 the steering feels heavy in comparison. Compared to my old 350z though the 86 feels super light, it’s all relative

I haven't seen any of the new ones yet so I'll reserve judgement but Ed was literally the only good thing about the show, Mike is entirely unwatchable and cringeworthy.

I've had a few close calls recently too, dashcam is definitely going on my letter to Santa.

Wanted: Set of wheels for three weeks or so in November

I'm over in Leeds but if you cant find any closer I have a set of standard wheels and tyres in the shed you can borrow. -
Yeah Photobucket managed to single handedly destroy 95% of forum content with that one. I've been using Flickr and Imgur but unfortunately no easy way to port all your old content over and fix your build thread.

Hybrid powertrain = hybrid engine surely?
-
The thing is, a concept isn't slave to any of the regulations that a production model car is, so surely this is the stage to make it look awesome? At the moment it looks like they've raided the parts bin and shoved it all together really quickly just to have something to display the 'idea' in but the 'idea' doesn't seem to go much beyond a hybrid, targa GT86 with a bizarre auto box. I can't un-see those bloody massive toy buttons on the dash for reverse etc. either. Having said that, a decent performance hybrid is much needed, if they can sort out the look, I'm all for it.
-
I find it utterly bizarre, the front lights look like they're designed for an entirely different shaped car, the back end looks like a Prius with the exhaust from an Aventador which is a strange choice for a hybrid. Aesthetically it's a total mess - I just don't understand the thought process, it's like there's some unspoken rule that all hybrids must look awful. Also, a manual shift without a clutch just sounds like a horribly inefficient and slow way to change gears compared to flappy paddles, no? I can already picture the amount of people jumping in, sticking it in manual mode and slamming their heads against the windscreen as soon as they go for the non-existent clutch and hitting the brake pedal

If 800 is your budget and you want to get brand new, you're in replica wheel territory. Check out Tarmac Sportz for XXR and Japan Racing wheels, both brands have decent fitments available for the 86. Rota's are probably a bit better quality but cost a bit more for it.

Welcome to the club mate, enjoy!

This is clearly the only logical solution, pack your suitcases.
