Er? She's a teacher hopefully?

That would be disappointing if so - personally I think if Toyota want people to look at GR parts as something to be coveted in the same way as Nismo / Mugen / Spoon etc. then that can't be achieved by only creating one off special editions; hardly anybody would be willing to pay the inevitable premium for the whole car. There's a fine line between the appeal of a product being rare/special and being entirely forgotten/passed over because they're unattainable. But perhaps that's not the intention of this range?

I'm liking the look of the rear spoiler, much cleaner with it not encroaching down on to the rear of the boot but the rear bumper is horrific. @kesler is there a timeframe on release date for parts - assuming they will be available separately at some point and not just as part of a special edition car only? Congratulations on the new job too

I had this unit on my 350z, great bit of kit and very subtle/OEM looking. Did your original BRZ unit have the ability to take phone calls? Just wondering if I can keep the existing mic from the standard 86 head unit if I upgrade.

"Is that an MR2?"

I'll be getting it, never played Forza online as it seemed a bit of a minefield but would be great if we can get a little crew going

Any ideas on how easy these are to fit? -
Welcome to the club mate and best of luck on your search Rich

Thanks Mike, that was my thinking too, I'll have to ask Santa for a day in Warrington

Haha, I can sell these ones back to you at a highly competitive inflated price? I'm just sad that the good weathers going to bugger off soon so can't enjoy them for too long Thanks man, much appreciated

Woke up this morning to a bit of sunshine so treated the car to a quick clean, went inside to watch the F1 and then it tanked it down, naturally . Anyway, the rain buggered off so went for a quick drive and a 5 minute photoshoot before the sun went down: GT86_16_09_nimz-4 GT86_16_09_nimz-3 GT86_16_09_nimz-6 GT86_16_09_nimz-2 GT86_16_09_nimz Not sure what the next step is, I need a bit more noise so will probably save for a manifold and remap at Tuning Developments if I can stop myself from buying an exhaust first

Congratulations mate, look forward to see how you develop it

The alcantara seats look like these: The centres are alcantara, the side bolsters leather - there was also an option where the centre is in red. In terms of aftermarket kits I personally prefer simple lip kits rather than full bodykits but having said that the TRD one does look great.

So yesterday morning I picked up my freshly refurbished wheels from Yorvik Engineering Services, really nice guys and they've done a fantastic job. I picked these up from Tashan a few weeks back, originally one in bronze and three in flat black - after agonising over the colour for weeks I decided to ask them to match the bronze wheel, especially how it looked under direct sunlight which gave it a slightly more gold tone and they've nailed it. They also fitted my new tyres - Advan V105s in 235/40/18 so all I had to do was get them home and on the car. First things first, enlist the girlfriend to help me get them dust free and protected with a couple of layers of wax: NewWheels_nimz-3 by nimzicki, on Flickr NewWheels_nimz-4 by nimzicki, on Flickr Fitting next with the aid of Mishimoto extended wheels nuts courtesy of @Tuned UK - great service from them and nice to receive car parts in a nicely designed package for once. NewWheels_nimz by nimzicki, on Flickr First one on (note the standard scissor jack, total PITA doing all 4 wheels with this): NewWheels_nimz-5 by nimzicki, on Flickr All fitted and back down on the ground: NewWheels_nimz-6 by nimzicki, on Flickr NewWheels_nimz-7 by nimzicki, on Flickr NewWheels_nimz-8 by nimzicki, on Flickr Absolutely loving the new setup, no rubbing but I do need to get a tiny bit more camber dialed in to tuck them in a touch more. Proper pics to come once I've got the car cleaned up. Rich

Personal preference but I think the aero rear spoiler looks a bit ridiculous without the rest of the kit on that first link. Second one looks like a better deal all round.

Welcome to the club mate, I'm an old CCUK member too although I've not been on there for a few years, had a gen 6 GT and a gen 7 t-sport.

Welcome to the club mate, car looks lovely.

I had a 350z before my 86, I would say they have more of a muscle car feel - heavy and lazy by comparison, lots of low down torque. Pulled like a train and sounded awesome which I miss but I find the 86 far more fun and has that extra bit of refinement.

Well that escalated quickly! I'm no pro photographer @cropzy but more than happy to meet up and take a few snaps. I'll have to leave location spotting to you though, I've not been up north long

These are duracon, it's more like a very dense and smooth plastic/resin than metal - I had one on my 350z, very lightweight and nice to hold. Bonus of the material is that it doesn't get super hot or cold like metal gear knobs do - also noticed quite a few people on here seem to dislike the feel of the stitching on the standard knob so you won't have that too.

Sorry to bump an old thread but did you ever fix this @Knighty? Having exactly the same issue and the Toyota dealer couldn't find the issue unsurprisingly
