Simple, remove your own bonnet before you drive there.

Once you modify a car, its market is limited. If it can be put back to stock then a percentage can be recouped by selling on the mods. If you are doing something that can't be returned to stock, then you will lose money on both the mods you paid out on and the value of the car itself. If you have the money, can afford the loss and it's what you really want, then go for it. The fact you are asking the question though should really be your answer.

Never been a fan of the stripes tbh, but that I would keep as is. I wonder how many Harley riders worldwide are harpists? Mind you, as a biker of over 38 years, I would need to be a lot more than harpist to buy a Harley. (Sorry, could not resist.)

Some help and advice please, winter tyres/alloys
Nelix replied to Nelix's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Really leaning towards crossclimates at the moment, have the bike for fun and the car is mainly used for work. Plus tyres will need replaced soon anyway. -

Church, I appreciate the responses. It is not "bling belief" I simply do not want anything on the car for months at a time that look, frankly, stupid. Scotland's climate can be very harsh indeed, also we can pretty much see all four seasons in a day at times. -

I do 2 days, 2 nights. Scotland is on the same latitude as Moscow iirc, it gets cold. Recent temps have been from -2 to 4. I drive at 5am or 6pm depending on shift. Are you saying 16 inch wheels, with skinnier tyres would be best, without looking ridiculous on the car? I get the form over function part, but I don't want the car looking silly. -

Thought of those will, but by the time I pay someone to put the tyres on the borlas would work out cheaper. -

There is not much cheaper in alloy tbh, don't want to put steels on. -
Check that rear seats fold correctly and buttons function. (Believe at least one person has had a problem with broken buttons.)

What is the cost to buy for the MTEC shift springs? Watched an installation video but at this time of year would be getting local garage to do it.- 231 replies

Swanky Head unit, STI Brakes, last of my bits : (

Drivel? Not at all. You don't control who posts in a thread, that is a fact. A fact that you have just admitted is right, so if it is factually correct, it is hardly drivel. -

Do you understand what a forum is? You don't get to control who posts in a thread. -

Ah, passive/aggressive again, you have it down to an art form. "your opinion to yourselves." You do realise that makes no sense? Now had you said "your opinion to yourself" that would have been fine. -

Lol, yes you have said you would fix it. Not hard to do and easier to just have posted it right the first time. Have never met Steeps, he could be cooler than the arctic or warmer than the sun for all I know. Love your use of animals/fish when you are passive/aggressively trying to insult someone. -

Ah ok, read the ebay bit wrong, confusion was whether or not you had bought them from ebay or the other forum. The thing is, as many are pointing out, your sales posts are absolute car crashes. -

So after categorically saying you did not buy the fenders from ebay, you are now saying you did? I suppose I will now be labelled a goldfish, as that seems to be your standard response. Personally I gave up on reading what you had for sale, the post layout was brutal. -
Can't beat 37mpg either and it is almost all motorway/dual carriageway I am doing to and from work. Are you attributing the mpg gains to the intake?

Seriously, my thoughts are what you wrote at the start. With the exception of the rear seat covers/dog guard, do nothing until you have driven the car and got to know it for a few months. From the list above, you are already planning a lot of mods, perhaps take a breath and sit down and work out the cost of them all, then prioritise. For instance, is it more important that you have a good sound system over cosmetic mods? How good will a rear facing dash cam be through a 95% tinted window? HU unit, yes you can buy them cheaply, you normally get what you pay for. Again, get used to the car first with instrumentation where you have always looked before adding in another focal point.
