    Accident and insurance help!

This royally pisses me off, no wonder dealers get such bad press.

    Shambolic service from Adrian Flux.

Has anyone at AF listened to the initial call made when the policy was sold? This would clearly show exactly what was asked for and sold. If the policy has been mis-sold, for whatever reason, then AF should rectify this at no cost and as little inconvenience to Matt as possible. Again, if the policy was mis-sold, if AF do not rectify the situation they should not be allowed to trade on the forum.
  3. From information on the forums I discovered that it is possible to utilise a USB from the rear of the HU rather than using the front. This allows a USB device to be hidden in the glovebox leaving the front of the HU clutter free. However by doing this you will move the functionality of the USB from the front of the HU to the rear, i.e. the front port will no longer work. Please note, this is simply how I did this and if you choose to follow this guide you do so at your own risk. Tools required, Socket wrench with extension and 10mm socket. Tool to remove fascia. Optional, swear words of your choice as Murphy's law will apply. You will also need a USB audio cable, I bought the one in this link, but ebay may be a quicker supplier. https://car-solutions.com/en/usb-audio-cable-for-toyota-lexus-scion-subaru-honda-mazda.php?utm_source=automail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=automail Picture of both ends of the USB audio cable. First you have to remove the fascia around the stereo, I would recommend a proper fascia removal tool, though I managed with a bit of care and a Swiss army knife. This piece is held on by 4 clips, one roughly at each corner. Insert your tool of choice (Ooer Missus) and simply prise sideways and outwards until the clips pop off enough to allow finger access to pull off completely. Pic of fascia once removed. Once off, this is what you see at either side, there are 2 10mm bolts holding the HU in place. , You need to remove the 4 bolts, not the screws, using a 10mm socket on an extension. Once this is done, the HU will simply pull out with a little wiggling and can be rested on top of the gear knob exposing the connections. I have the sat nav, so my USB connection is into it, which is the bottom part of the HU. You need to remove the current connection which feeds the USB to your front USB port and replace it with the USB audio cable you have purchased. This is the connector on the right in the picture below, however please note the picture was taken AFTER I had removed the original and plugged in the USB audio cable. There is a connection for the USB into the main part of the HU, but if you have the sat nav installed it appears to override this so you must unplug the connector at the sat nav as plugging it into the main unit will not work. I assume if you have no sat nav installed, you will simply unplug the USB connector which will be in the main unit and replace it with the USB audio cable. For neatness I plugged the original cable into my empty port on the main HU, this does not seem to have caused any issues. Once you have the USB audio cable plugged in, connect it to the device you intend to use and check all is well. Once satisfied, disconnect your device and run the USB audio cable from the back of the HU and into the glove box. Carefully slide the HU back into place, replace and tighten the four 10mm bolts and then simply click the fascia piece back into place. You will now be able to connect your device of choice, hidden in the glovebox, to the HU with no unsightly wires or flash drives showing.

    Advice on modifications

Personally I do think there is a blind spot and I have tried various mirror positions to limit it as much as possible. However as a biker of over 37 years, I instinctively check over my shoulder when changing lanes or overtaking.

    Hi everyone

Tell them you want the spoiler supplied and fitted free at 22k and next service free. If you have no trade in you should be able to negotiate a better deal than that.

    Hi everyone

£245 discount? Offer 20K, then negotiate.

    Hi everyone

Are you trading in? If not, call the salesperson and do your deal over the phone before you travel, playing all three off against each other. If you are in a position to do a deal today, tell them that and let them know they are competing against two other dealers to sell a car right now. Finally, get any agreed deal in writing via an email. I would be doing all the legwork by phone before travelling any distance. Of course as a Scot, I'm tighter than a ligature at a Michael Hutchence private hotel room soiree.

    Hi everyone

Negotiate a deal you are happy with, then say ok, if you fit a spoiler on it.

    Hi everyone

Do you have a trade in? Some companies will bring a car to your local dealer, but there are conditions attached. If you are going down this route, whether you are trading in or not, have a deal in place you are happy with first. When I was looking I almost bought a white Aero long distance, from a well known dealer. He was sending the car up to me and taking my mr2 in part ex. We had emailed and chatted on the phone a few times and had a deal in place, however it did worry me slightly that I would not see the car in person first. Was also interested in an orange aero up in Inverness, it would have been a day trip to go up and see it though, so again emails and chats on the phone. We were within a couple of hundred pounds of it being worthwhile me making the trip for a look. However went through to Edinburgh to look at 2 ex demos (not aeros) and mentioned to the salesman that I wanted an aero. He said they had just brought one down from their Dunfermline branch that morning and sold it, but I could have a look. I had seen this advertised but discounted it as it was a 2014 and I was looking for 2015 on, however I had not noticed that it had less than 3000 miles on it, was immaculate. Upshot was the person buying it failed finance, so I bought it the next day. If you really want an Aero, hold out for one, will be more cost effective and far less hassle than adding a bodykit afterwards. Personally I love mine, minute I saw an Aero it was what I wanted. Not a fan of the massive spoiler tbh, but love the overall look. No boy racer either, turned 54 last month. Of course it was just a bonus the paintwork matched my VFRs.......

    Hi everyone

I paid a little more than that for my 2014 Aero, but it had less than 3000 miles on it. Sat nav and heated seats. Are you in Scotland Nemesis?
  12. Showing as £169.50 each. http://www.thespeedline.com/12-gt-86-brz-fr-s-valenti-sequence-indicator-led-tail-light-full-smoke/ Though on looking again, further down it says a pair.
  13. Is there any advantage to the SS over the stock knob? Mine is in perfect condition so would only change if there was a positive reason to do so.
  14. So, what is the actual price posted, for the SS?
  15. Shipping is surprisingly cheap.

    Prospective owner, some questions!

I got 2.9% finance for the balance on mine, dealer could not get near it. As for any finance, you will need to apply to find out if you qualify but as long as your credit history is fine you should get the best rate quoted for the amount you want.

There are better finance rates than 5.9% available.
