    tire size on a 18x8

    Purely for track or track & road? Great track tyre but not so sure about wear on the road...cup 2s maybe better, but I was warned off cups for my M3 purely because of tyre wear Check with Ed re PSS on a car with SC...

    Does this mean we'll see some numbers? To be honest, I'm not bothered by the big figures, more interested in the torque curve

    US Spec BRZ Sat Nav

    And don't forget, for a lot less too...the Alpine (INE-925R) that Lauren and I have got is a lot less than £3k, and audio quality is much improved (although it gets even better with a decent amp, speakers, sub .... there goes your £3k lol)

    Not strictly a mod for the car...

    Stick some old carpet or lino on the wall as a cushion for when you open the car door - saves chipping paint on the wall in a narrow garage

    Milltek cracked

    Mmmm, Akrapovič, maybe I should stop in there on my way through Slovenia in the summer....not sure they do anything for the 86 though

    Sprintex SC small price increase

    Rather than plague LFAs thread with OT stuff, thought I'd whack this over here... Does the coating help charge temps too?

    I'd expect moving the cooler and changing the pipework would therefore increase lag - charged air volume is greater, resulting in a greater volume of air to be compressed to get the same boost... What I like about the sprintex is the change from low in the rev range and relative linearity of the torque - I found Mark's car very predictable in the short drive I had of it. Lauren, if you like revs, you might as well go turbo for more power

    Problem is that more compression (of intake air) means higher charge air temp, even with a charge cooler...you monitoring EGTs to see where things are?

    re- torque your wheels people;

    Ok Stu, oh sorry, wrong forum

    re- torque your wheels people;

    Couldnt you get softer sidewalls on the Yokohamas? I've used Michelin's a lot in the past and been pleased with them, so stuck with them. I noticed a lot of people complaining about ride quality on Yoko's before and I think it was down to the much stiffer sidewalls

    re- torque your wheels people;

    These are narrow, so the only place they're in contact with the wheels is the tapered bit, even with the adapter on, there's very little chance of touching the wheel. However, we'll see when I take them off...I like the black on gold contrast - don't stand out too much and the tyres are awesome, but I went for 88s not XL 92s Image below is off ebay, courtesy of where I bought them Bloody amazing service - they were with me within 48hrs of pressing "buy"!

    re- torque your wheels people;

    My Mutekis came with a reminder to re-torque after 100km. Definitely worth checking when you check pressures...but then how frequently do people check pressure? (In my extended family I'm the one that has to do everyone's tyres...otherwise they don't get done)

    Happy 86 Day everybody !

    Got my muteki spline drive nuts on...love them, feel much safer playing with my nuts now...much less chance to damage the rims

    An old-fashioned conversation...

    I am loving Keethos' comment being directly after Spec K mentioning divorce! Lol Keith, be a modern dad, let them pay for everything! Having 2 daughters, I'm definitely not old fashioned about who pays for weddings

    It's all about the area under the curve, not headline figures I hope you'll be posting the dyno results? Stock header or aftermarket? I presume no primary cat to get to 300hp?

    Cosworth Part prices

    So taking Steve's point...I forgot about cable and cat being in there £1500 for a market baseline on exhaust and ecutek license £250 for the ecutek cable £800? For decent cat £2550 total for a stage 1.2? Matt was indicating stock airbox is fine for NA and actually some of the weird shape helps flow The manifold looked very nice, and I expect would shave a lot of weight from the engine bay. As I put in the other thread I agree with 86Alex re OEM approval - that could be worth a hell of a lot.

    Cosworth Part prices

    Considering a full milltek plus ecu remap from Litchfield is £1500 including fitting...and that is theoretically the same as Cosworth 1.2... Dunno what Fensport or Abbey charge for similar but that would give them the "market price".

    Aiming to have wheels and new rubber on in time for Cosworth.

    Lug Nut Thread?

    Cant find this on the site although foreign sites suggest Subaru pattern... Are our lugs M12*1.5 or M12*1.25? i.e Toyota vs Subaru thread pattern? TIA

    Lug Nut Thread?

    Thanks...I know I should RTFM, but I didn't expect it to be there... Found some nice Mutekis to go with the new wheels

    Tegun's...

    Avoid Michelin Pilot Sport Cup, they are really track oriented and you won't get much mileage from them in my experience - go for Pilot Super Sports or Pilot Sport 3s from Michelin

    new tyres...

    PS3s? I thought LFA's running PSS, and PSS > PS3 > PS2...check out http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=657104 I ran PS2s on my Impreza and PS3s on the M3 and I found both great tyres, but I'm thinking of PSS as my new tyre of choice for this car (on 18s)
