OEM PreFacelift Alloys - New/Mint condition - £150
CTolly replied to Leeky's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Are these still available? Looking for a set of alloys for my winter tyres -
My BRZ had these chrome fins fitted by the previous owner, I've never been that keen on them, are they just glued over the standard fins?
-
They will need to be reprogrammed. I had OEM sensors that weren't programmed for my car, I made 2 trips to the dealer and they didn't have a clue how to sort it out. In the end I went to a decent tyre fitter and they got it done easily Sent from my E5823 using Tapatalk

The ones on eBay are mine. I'd be prepared to sell them individually if your interested. £9 each.

Just going through this with my 2016 BRZ. I believe the valves have to be registered to the car but I don't even think Subaru dealers know much about it. I had mine at the dealer and they said they had sorted it, charged me £50 and 10mins down the road the light was back on! Funny thing is if I park my car in the garage next to the original wheels it is fine the next morning but comes on again after about 10mins. Will probably just end up ignoring the light and swap the valves over when I need a new set of tyres, at least there is no audible warning like some cars.

Hi, Thanks. Yes, they do have TPMS valves. In fact since I have changed them to a standard set on my car the warning light has come on. I don't know much about TPMS but I assume therefore the wheels I am selling are registered to my car and I will need to either get my new wheels registered or swap the valves over which seems like a big hassle. Looking to sell the 18" wheels and tyres that were fitted by the previous owner of my BRZ. Wheels have only covered a max 3000 miles and are like new, there honestly isn't a mark on them, also tyres are as good as new Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 235/40 R18. Wheels are 18" 7.5J. Listed on ebay for £600 but might be prepared to do a deal for an easy transaction. Wheels are located near West Malling in Kent and would need to be collected in person. I can send more pictures if needed. Chris

Just had a look and it appears they are Borbet wheels but I've no idea where they came from. Each wheel and tyre weighs 22kg Chris

4x Original stock alloys w.Primacy nearly new TPMS
CTolly replied to Steeps's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
OK good. I've put a deposit down on a BRZ today but the previous owner has fitted 18" wheels which are really not to my taste so keen to get it back on std 17". Condition looks ok to me but a few more photos would be good. I'm down in Kent but may be able to organise a collection some time next week. -

Hi, The idea of a GT86/BRZ has been going round in my head for a while and finally decided I want a BRZ, though can’t really say why I want this over the GT86 except I do like the WR Blue. I have test driven a new GT86 due the rarity of the BRZ and other than obviously less power than my current Rx7 FD daily, loved everything else about it and certainly will be easier to daily than the Rx7, to me they seem to share the same ethos of lightweight, front engine, 2+2, great looking. My only decision now is whether to buy new MY17 model or save a chunk of cash on a good used one. I like the MY17 styling tweaks but it seems looking round most of the changes are available aftermarket anyway e.g. Valenti lights, interior trim options, so I’m thinking this might be a better route. I have seen it mentioned the engine was upgraded/strengthened for MY17, anyone know if this is true, doesn’t seem to be in any Subaru literature? Though it doesn’t seem the engine is a particular weak spot. Chris

Thanks. I've seen a nice low mileage 65 plate that will save me 8k. Hopefully will get to look at it at the weekend. Don't plan to go mad with the mods but some of it looks quite tempting. [emoji1]

Thanks for the welcome. Think I'm leaning towards buying used and I've just found the Fensport website, oh dear... and I haven't even got one yet. Chris Sent from mTalk
