Thanks Andy glad you are enjoying the car it will be interesting to see what your friend at Amber thinks of his and what upgrades he plans, so far I love it and have no regrets just can't use it at the moment as our roads are flooded bah humbug.

Yes Smudge it's the closest I will ever get Deacon the reason I went with silver is a long story seemed to be a delay with the red ordered at the docks and lack of answers as to quality checks going on since sept so think I'm best off with what I've got
-
Thx I was tempted and yes to modding but not soon the fund pot has been depleted !! Lol unfortunately I'm working next weds but free Thursday and this weekend hopefully

Nice one Faith yes they are big especially over here on our roads and parking can be fun, as for your other comments I have to agree with them all but it's a shame the 86 didn't come with a turbo and a decent sound system. I think I've made the right choice only time will tell, even silver over here is turning heads like you wouldn't believe.
-
Thanks guys and I'd just like to say I loved the GT86 and miss it but this was the right choice for me :-) even if the order process has been a complete and utter cluster**** by ford. Faith I don't know how you got a 1000 mile test drive but glad you enjoyed it, I can't wait to get this run in what made you stick with the 86 out of curiosity?

Here are some pics will get more later

Having made the decision to sell my GT86 in June this year and go for a mustang eco boost I can now say that it was worth the wait.As for fuel economy, practicality etc time will tell.If there are any meets up this neck of the woods I might pop along if allowed of course sopeople can have a look if interested. Senna and anybody else local who fancy a look just give me a shout it truelly is a beast even if it's not a V8, but I really have missed the 86, I hope it's new owner Andy is taking good care of it , best wishes Bumblebee

Sold and on its way to its new home please close thread or annotate as necessary thx Bumblebee signing off

Hi All What an emotive subject I seem to have started, I would simply love a V8 I can afford it, but just can't afford to run the bloody thing let alone tax and insure it !! Estimated 20MPG meaning 15-18 if you are lucky hence the 2.3 Ecoboost is my only option!! JamesP1991 has rightly summed it up for me by saying the following: "The 2.3 Eco boost motor will probably give you the best bang for buck! Best compromise of MPG, tax and running costs, plus you'll be able to tune them close to V8 speeds given they are turbocharged. Good luck Bumblebee" So thanks to those like him who can understand my reasoning, if anybody wants to see it in the flesh I will try arrange a meet up once I have it most likely nov/dec if the dealer can be trusted as I am assured I'm in the first batch I will believe it when I see it and will miss the GT86 dearly in the meantime and the good advice and banter on the forums. Thankyou all and I've only had a couple of beers lol
