Bump: Price dropped to £12,000. Added 2 photos, more to follow soon - apologies for the delay, I have had a lot going on recently. Please Note: The roof has been painted Metallic Black to match the Spoiler (I don't have many photos of it). -
More Pictures To Follow Soon £12,000 ONO, Car Located In Essex. 51K Miles, Manual, 2 Owners. Highlights: 1 of 195 genuine Toyota GT86 Aero’s in the UK (as of 2023 Q4), Wossner Forged Pistons, Skunk2 Forged Conrods, Precision 5558 Turbo, K Sport Big Brake Kit (8 Piston – 356mm), Stronger Clutch Kit Upgrade – Twin Friction, Tomei Type-80 Exhaust System, Tein Flex A Coilovers. This car has been my absolute pride and joy for the last 6 years and has always been looked after and maintained to my utmost best. Full warm up and cool down cycles, regular servicing, only ever fueled with Shell V Power and has been detailed professionally on a yearly basis. This car was previously owned by Dan Smith (Ztox) who had it from brand new up until 3 years old when I bought it from him in April 2018. Dan had done quite a few tasteful mods that are listed below but can also be found on his forum topic here: https://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/forums/topic/2552-ztoxs-aero/?tab=comments#comment-39315 Lowlights: In December 2019 the GT86 went in for a forged engine rebuild, turbo, big brakes, clutch etc at Tuning Developments. I collected this in April 2020 but when I got home I had noticed it had been using a lot of oil. I kept an eye on this and kept topping it up regularly. In June 2020 the car suffered a Misfire (CANBUS Error) which was resolved with a new VVT Cam Sprocket RH Intake purchased from Toyota in Chelmsford and posted to Tuning Developments to rectify. I took the car to Tuning Developments in July 2020 and got the car back in December 2020. I had asked TD to check the oil to which they refused to take the car apart and see what was wrong (as clearly this was not right) but they said they had done some checks and it seemed normal for a turbo GT86. I knew I weren’t going to get anywhere with them, so I just kept topping up the car with oil. This was ongoing for 3 years, until the engine started to make a knocking noise in October 2023 (not low on oil as I checked this every day I drove the car – which was a pain but I put up with it). The car has not been driven since and is now just an expensive garden ornament as I can no longer keep up with the costs and therefore it is time for me to sell it and move on. With this in mind, I am listing this car for £12,000 which I think is reasonable given that the major work of the Forged Internals, Stage 3 Turbo Kit, Big Brake Kit, Clutch Upgrade etc come to £14,785 after £1,318 discount. Once this car has been repaired, the buyer has a LOT of car for the money they pay for it. VLAND Headlights - Dipped Beam Settings?
GT86Reece replied to GT86Reece's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
So I managed to get some pictures of what I tried to explain above but had forgot to post them until now. As you can see I have 2 'dipped beam' settings which I appear to be unable to toggle between. The first image where I they are quite short distance, seems to be the norm. Then occasionally when I turn the main beam on and turn it off, it temporarily goes to the second setting where I can see much further which would be a much better suited 'normal' however they revert back to the first image setting which is a pain. Does anyone have an idea on how to stop this happening, or do I just need to replace the HID kit? I bought them from VLAND on Amazon about a year ago and they've always been like this, but others with VLANDs don't seem to be experiencing the same issue as me -

Sorry all, I'm not too active on the forums! I'm running 14psi to get 400bhp and not as far as I'm aware but I don't know too much about engines etc if I'm honest. As far as I'm aware, the engine seems fine and Mike has done all sorts of tests so he tells me but couldn't tell you what those are as I'm not sure either. Turbo isn't appearing to be pulling oil. Car runs absolutely fine, no oil leaks and not smoking at all so it's very odd but also very frustrating! No worries, I could write quite a lengthy review on it but it's just getting the time to do it to be honest and would take me a bit of time to gather all of the information as it back dates to when I initially blew it up in September 2019! It is mad that the car has been with TD for a total of 16 months agreed, it's been very frustrating to say the least and of course wasting tax and insurance money whilst it's not been with me... Gutted it drinks so much oil, it's not fun having to check it all of the time and having to top it up so frequently. For example a trip to the Lake District used 800ml of oil to get there and a further 800ml to get back (300 miles each way). So just shy of 3ml per mile... seem to be using more oil than F1 cars or fighter jets... I wasn't originally running 290bhp, I went from a normal blown NA to full forged & turbo'd 400bhp and it's been problematic ever since in that aspect. Runs fine though, so I try to ignore that it uses so much oil (other than having to check it every day) and try to enjoy it for what it is, as it's pretty fun otherwise...

I know, I've questioned it and questioned it several times, been on-going for months with this usage. I checked it myself at home, no leaks or smoke. I took it to Abbey Motorsport, they also checked it over, no leaks or smoke. I called Mike and he was puzzled and said to try monitoring it with different types of driving, so quite heavy footed for a week then just on cruise for a week for example... same usage. Then he advised to try changing from 5w-40 to 10w-60 as the thicker grade may reduce the usage, or so he thought... still the same. Took it back to TD for investigation and it ended up being there 4 months before I got it back (previously been there 2 times, for 6 months each... first time for engine rebuild / turbo etc and second time for a misfire). Minimal testing was done during this period to my frustration but Mike couldn't find anything wrong with it. Mike fitted an oil restrictor to it but still using the same amount of oil... still getting no smoke, no leaks... and performance remains normal, so I'm baffled by it too!

Rebuild to a fully forged 400hp engine was a few quid shy of £15k by Mike at TD (including K Sport Front BBK). Not to mention the other £5k loan per year to buy oil because I go through about a litre every couple days, and have to check it and top it up so often, it's a pain in the arse and I wouldn't recommend it at all

Smoked Valenti Reverse / Fog Light

It's never been used on a car only plugged in to discover 3 LED's are out - thought it may be an easy fix but haven't looked into this myself as I replaced it anyway. I'm open to offers. -

Hi all, I am selling my Smoked Valenti Reverse / Fog Light. It is basically brand new, hasn't been used, only plugged in to see what it shows like (when I realised 3 LED's on the fog light don't illuminate). My parents ended up buying me a replacement one which I fitted a while back and I left it too late to send this one back as "faulty" and then forgot to list it for sale until now. I'm not sure if this is an easy fix as I'm not too technical when it comes to boards & potential soldering. This can be configured so the V comes on separately to the Fog Light. I bought this for £210 new from Fensport and am looking for £160 (due to the 3 LED's out) as it has never been used. I would much prefer collection / local sale only (around Grays or Colchester) due to issues I had using a postal service last time. Please see photos below:
