Haha my other half used to play it daily but no time anymore with work, so he should have lost his rank by now Anyway nowadays we're more of a MOBA household, Smite for me & Paragon for him. We tried getting into Assetto Corsa but it's absolutely garbage without a wheel xD play a bit of Forza Horizon 3 on xbox every now and then as well. Had no idea there were so many gamers in the club, that's awesome

Wondering if anyone is going to Coventry Motofest? Never been before, it's free so was thinking about giving it a look, would be cool to meet people if anyone's going. https://coventrymotofest.com/weekend

Haha that's all good and well but difficult when parked up at a show like Japfest. Furthermore, the previous owner of our car seems to have taken a that kind of lackadaisical point of view with the paintwork and now it's covered in microscratches, swirls and a couple of marks where bird bombs have eaten away at the paint. It's not really a stress for me to look after the car in this way, it's actually rather theraputic. In fact, it's far more stressful for me to have unnecessary damage that can easily be avoided but each to their own.

Hi all, just wondering if any of you have a portable bird bomb disposer lol. Over the past week the car seems to have developed some kind of bird magnet and is receiving little presents every now and then. It's all good and well at home because I just wash it off ASAP, but was wondering what you do if it happens at a show or if you're out and about away from home. What's the best product to keep in the car for that kind of thing? Previous owner has already royally screwed the paintwork but won't be getting it detailed 'til later in the year, want to avoid further damage. Really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks in advance!

I try to keep on top of it as much as possible, I was sort of preemptively wondering what to do if this happened at Japfest xD didn't want to be miles away frorm home with bird poo melting away (what's left) of the clear coat. The previous owner seems to have done that on the bonnet, considering there's a suspiciously bird poo shaped mark where the clear coats' been eaten away... Really trying to limit the amount of extra damage since a proper detail can't be done until September time. Appreciate the advice.

That's what I was most curious about. Hmm, last time I used a spray bottle w/ water & meguirs shampoo & wax, let it soften a bit then wiped with a mf towel... really I was looking for a simpler alternative, lol. Will give the wIpes a go though.

interestingly enough, I don't have a tree over my driveway and yet it's been hit twice in the past week :Y

Alright thanks

I heard those leave nasty marks in the clear coat :/ are people overreacting?

Yes Hot road = skids haha

Welcome I'm pretty new here myself but the people are extremely welcoming and helpful. I love the roads in Wales, one of our first drives was around the Evo triangle (off the A6).

This was during the first week of having him xD found any excuse to drive it and take pictures.

Just wondering what people's recommendations are for tyres. Car isn't lowered or anything, been wondering about whether or not to change size. We're pretty open to anything atm so if you have an opinion please share.

Chaging the wheels is definitely the plan, although there isn't a solid choice thus far, only a colour code lol (dark greys/black)

Might be up for this (its a decent way away but sure it would be worth it)

Alright thanks, and yea steering clear of lowering springs, the car is fun no point runing it for aesthetic purposes xD (mega bucks meaning thousands)

Also, heard that changing coilovers isn't worth it unless you're spending megabucks, do you have any recommendations (for future reference)?
-
Well, been hearing rumors about brake fade when you take it on the track with OEM brakes. Track days are a definite wish in the future, but it's still hear say as far as I'm concerned until there's more people to ask about it.

Might be able to make this!

Thanks! We've thought about loads of things, most extravagent being forced induction but we're unsure. Turbo would be great but the consensus seems to be that a supercharger is better for 'daily' driving (although I'm more fond of a turbo personally, for superficial reasons). So far the only solid things we have planned are a bunch of cosmetic changes (plus a few QoL changes like new oil filter etc), a full exhaust and different tyres, would like to change brakes as well but £££ lol. We'll probably keep it stock (minus the cosmetics) for a while anyway yeah because we still have a few more months of warranty left and we want to try and do as much as possible ourselves, so need to garner some more knowledge/ideas. But, I have this picture perfect idea of what I want it to look, sound and drive like, we've both kind of said that we don't want to push it beyond around 300ps though.

Is the member discount still on offer for these? If so how do I go about applying it, in the basket?
