Well, they work! Unfortunately, the left-hand one (looking at the engine bay) slightly nadgers the bonnet closed switch, so I have to do some bracket bending. I'm sure it'll come out fine but I've duck-taped it for the moment to stop the alarm going off. Photos soon.

I've just received these bonnet struts from Amazon for the princely sum of £15.55. It took just under a month to arrive, but can't complain. I'll let you know how it goes. No instructions except for a couple of photos on the Amazon page!

One point which may be of interest is that I have my ScanGauge display IAt intake air temperature. Comparing it with outside air temperature shows the effectiveness of the intercooler. On a very hot day, it never runs at more than +20C. Typically (like today), it runs at +15C. Sent from my LG-G7 using Tapatalk

This has put paid to our little meeting. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51506729

I'll be there.

RIP, Jordan. You were always fun on Facebook and I enjoyed following your posts here. I hope you have found peace now.

Here's my improved torque (green/yellow plots) for the Rogue EL versus the TD UEL (red plot). ECUTeK tune done at Abbey Motorsport. Harrop supercharger, HKS intake duct, TD super-resonated full exhaust.

If the valve spring recall hasn't been done, insist on it as a condition of purchase.

Better watch your front lip!
-
I'm on H&R Super Sports springs with about 35mm lowering, if it helps. I don't have a great deal of clearance with the front lip, I've had to re-tighten it in place about 5 times now!

We were lucky with the weather, too!

Sorry, but the FA-20 / 24 has character and a brilliant layout (apart from spark plug access), giving it a low CofG. Thank goodness for Subaru making the only flat 4 left in production. A three-cylinder turbo? What a way to ruin the character of a sports car.
-
Hopefully, as I'm going!

I'm sorry to tell you but Starlink is a piece of crap, especially in the UK. There are no apps worth a damn available for it. I struggled with it until I could stand it no longer, ripped it out and bought an Eonon Android head unit. Now Waze works fine.
-
It's not true for a supercharger but there is always an element of response lag with a turbo.
-
That's 237nm and a sight better than stock, especially if there is less or no torque dip. Yes, drivability should be noticeably improved.
-
The FA-24 engine will bring immediate torque improvements, which the car needs more than power. If it's built well, and will possibly have lower compression ratio, it should boost well.
-
My heat management with the Harrop, since switching to the Rogue manifold, has been perfect with all temperatures normal even on the hottest days.

The Ginger Special lives on! Hope you enjoy it, we had it in the lineup of 6 recently at Denbies.
-
The cat-back on its own won't give you any extra performance.
-
Unless you're absolutely certain about the HKS I'd go for the OEM one. For your engine's sake, an oil filter is not something you want to fail.

Can't say I've noticed much difference in V-Power, which I still use. Come to think about it, it was already E5 in my tank when I had my recent remap at Abbey. Sorted!- 29 replies

Hello and welcome. I came from BMWs and I too found them dull to drive except on straight-line speed. A boosted 86/BRZ is a different prospect. Future congrats on being a dad!

Think I'll leave it to the Fuel Coffee meeting, mate. So much to do in weekends!
