Nice - compare with mine (red from blue is just the catback and inlet pipe, I already had the UEL manifold).

No error code or check engine light here, the ECUTeK firmware disables it.

Set of four 2017 BRZ stock wheels with 215/45 Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tyres. The wheels have only 2000 miles on them as I changed them once I bought the dealer demo car. They are pretty clean. The tyres are the excellent Goodyear Vector 4Seasons, which proved to be exceptionally good in the snow and winter rain. I only used them for one winter and there is more than 7mm tread left all round. There are TPMS sensors in the wheels and I can give you the codes to map into your ECU using Carista or similar. Reason for sale: I bought some larger Rota wheels. £200 collection only from Basingstoke. That's £50 per tyre excluding the wheels. Winter is coming!

BRZ Stock Wheels with All Seasons Tyres

I can't remember and will try to find the paperwork. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

Of course I did. On an absolute basis, an extra 4bhp at around 6750rpm. More importantly, it's up on torque throughout and by almost 10ft.lbs at 3750rpm.

Yes, I ran mine as TD UEL with stock exhaust for a while. You do get a little UEL beat, but the change in sound with swapping the exhaust system (and a tiny improvement in torque) comes with the full TD exhaust.

I don't have much trouble with mine except 5th to 4th which is very notchy. I have MTech springs, too. My previous Honda CR-Z had an incredibly slick box. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

The TD super-res makes a nice noise but is not hooligan loud. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

The variation in outcome between these tests just goes to show how personal preferences figure, as well as the car, FWD/RWD, suspension setup, types of road, average weather etc. For me, across my last 3 cars, the Michelin PS4 and Falken Azenis FK-510 are the best tyres I've used on the road (I don't track).

I went to ProTyre this morning and they said that the 'faulty' TPMS sensor had a random code in it and had clearly not been cloned properly. They apologised, programmed the code in and my TPMS light has remained off. Carista confirms that all four codes are present and correct. Sorted!

What a superb app Carista and the adapter are. At last, I have the evidence I need! Since I know the position of each code as given me by ProTyre, it's back to them tomorrow morning to report that the Offside Front sensor is not sending.
-
I've just ordered a Carista OBD adapter to use with the app. It's about time I take a proper look at what's going on myself. My TPMS adapters are in-wheel pressure reading ones. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

The light came back on again after 20 miles. I'm giving up, Subaru can sort this issue.

Good point. Mine are iSmart sensors.

<sheepish mode on> This evening I thought I'd check the tyre pressures, still puzzling over the system working for a while and then erroring. I thought maybe one tyre was too low. It turned out that ProTyre had pumped them up way too high - three were at 2.55 and one was 2.6 bar! I dropped them all down to 2.4, reset the TPMS system again and the light has gone out. I hadn't realised that they also warned on over-pressure! I'll see on my motorway commute tomorrow but I may have cracked it.

Nice one. I don't think I've ever seen a silver BRZ. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

It's touch and go as we have a late night tonight. I'll let you know if I'm going tomorrow. Thanks for the offer. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

Thanks but I've tried that. There is little info on that button but I've tried press-and-hold with engine off and engine running. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

I cannot believe that this saga continues. I went back to ProTyre today with all 4 stock wheels in the boot. They were very nice, took ALL the tyres off the 8 wheels, replaced the new iSMART TPMS sensors with another set in my Rota wheels, read the codes directly off the stock TPMS sensors and cloned them onto the new set. They also repaired a screw puncture in one of my new PS4s. They then refitted the new wheels and sent me off down the lane to test them. The TPMS warning light duly went off. Yippee! Back to ProTyre, who charged me nothing, loaded up the stock wheels, dropped them off at home and continued on my way to work. Half way down the M3, the sodding light came back on again. It remains on. I have my service booked with Subaru in two week's time. I shall asked them to look at the TPMS system again and get it working. I'd really prefer to send it into orbit.

I found the resonated too loud - I bought it first in this configuration. I swapped the centre section for a super resonated that's just right for me. I have the 2nd cat in place and a UEL manifold.

I've ordered one of these HKS Intake Ducts, the shorter mark II, to replace the standard snorkel. Having done pretty much everything else to get NA performance, it seems silly not to replace the snorkel with something better. Has anyone tried one?

How much do insurers load premiums for a catback?
MartinT replied to Twigman's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Power is done on %age and is not that expensive an uplift. Other things like wheels are normally just declared without extra premiums. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk -
My 2017 BRZ has recorded 35.7 mpg average over 30k miles. That's a real world mix of motorway and suburban driving and not hanging around. I'm pretty pleased with it. All credit to the Toyota D4S injection system. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

Yes, it goes into the standard airbox. I have a K&N filter in there.
