Thanks, both. Plenty of choices there.

Could you post a link for the intake scoop please, I'm having trouble finding it? Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

Welcome! Got my BRZ in 2018 as an ex-dealer demo and love it. Header, exhaust and a tune will do wonders for it.

Anyone worried it will turn into the new Mazda RX8
MartinT replied to Dennis Wilson's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Not me. Mine has been my daily driver (60 miles per day) for 15 months without any issues, despite being modified by TD. Nothing has broken, so I would say late cars are pretty reliable. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk -
Very similar numbers to mine for a similar setup (except you have EL and I have UEL). Nice to drive, isn't it?

I remember driving some old Renault thing in Mauritius 20 years ago with a column shift. That was just awful. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

Nice bit of 3D printing there! Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

My BRZ is a late 2017.

My TPMS light flashes and then goes on permanently every journey. I am resigned to buying a new set of sensors the next time I change the tyres ( which is coming up soon). Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

Recall issued on cars to have valve springs replaced 2012-2013
MartinT replied to Lauren's topic in Mechanical
Just wondered out loud. Back in the days of the Mini and Escort cams were all the rage. I guess they are much better optimised these days. -

I've never had a problem with Subaru Bulldog Twyford. Not even a raised eyebrow at the mods, they all seem to be car enthusiasts. -

You didn't fancy swapping for more aggressive cams while they were out, Lauren? Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk -
The Super Sports, as quoted. Yes, they are stiffer and give about 25-20mm lowering.

I have H&R Super Sports springs, very nice balance between ride quality and handling. You will need to have the camber adjusted. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

I find the super resonator plenty loud enough, the standard one was hooligan. I have the TD UEL manifold.
-
Welcome, Vincent! Did you change the spark plugs yourself?
-
Sounds like a good move. I came from potent German metal and 'uninvolving' captures it perfectly. I'm not looking back at all - love my BRZ. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

Lauren, how do you cope with no cats for MOT? Do you put one back on? Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

I went with the TD intake pipe (deleting the sound pipe) at the same time as going with the Super Resonator. The two eliminated drone and give the car a nice sound. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

Looking to get these alloys - a second opinion?

They are 225/45 R17 Falken Azenis FK-510. -

These are my Rota 17x8 ET35, pretty good fitment. You should be able to get Grids with offset ET35. -
Thanks all, I now feel informed.

Ok, thanks both. I thought you were implying that they were unsafe in some way but it's more about who designed the original and forged versus cast manufacture. So is there an original for the Rota Blitz that I use? I really like the design.
