That looks good on yellow.

I would say that the TD NA setup (as I have) is more than adequate to keep up with such cars on alpine roads. What you might lose in straight line speed you will certainly make up in agility and handling. I was able to keep up with BMW M cars and Porsches in my supercharged CR-Z and the BRZ is quicker.

The safest assumption with mods is that you will never get your money back. Both of my previous modded cars sold for book price and no more. That's fine as I accept it and I mod my car for the enjoyment alone.
-
I've looked into this and Mike at TD, for instance, strongly advised me to stay with the stock intake and just add a K&N filter. Most performance gains are to be had with the exhaust side of things.

Welcome! Don't see many red ones, looks nice. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

At the risk of upsetting Lauren (!) my H&R Super Sport springs lowered it by about 35mm. It's as low as I would dare go and I still bottom out on the occasional sleeping policeman. It looks good to me and the ride is still very nice. I would not have it any harder or lower. http://www.hrsprings.com/products/detail/springs

My BRZ has started groaning just after a cold start. It seems to be coming from just behind me and isn't linked to engine revs or gear. It seems to fade away completely after warming up. Is there a fuel pump back there somewhere? The car is just over a year old and due for its first service soon.

Stationary. Once I'm under way I struggle to hear it and then it's gone. Evap system?
-
That's not far off but mine doesn't seem to be rev affected. Did you work out what's causing it?

Ouch, nasty! Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

I'll try and pinpoint it some more. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

I did wonder but it's more of a constant low level groan than a chirp. Where is the fuel pump located, I can try and pinpoint it a little more the next time I start the car.

Better description... It's like a low hum, not metallic rubbing, scraping or anything like that. It makes this low frequency groan/hum (like a motor with a bad bearing) just after starting and without even moving the car. The sound appears to be coming from behind me, not from the engine bay. Once I start driving I lose it in the general noise and then once it's warmed up it's gone.

Interesting. I had a remapped and DPF-deleted BMW 335d M-Sport Coupe which was a tyre-shredder with 374bhp and 720nm (yes, really) torque. Even the 265s on the rears didn't last long. it was a rocketship in a straight line but was far too heavy to throw around. Great for motorway overtaking but little else. Now that I have the BRZ, I really don't miss it at all.
-
For the remap to work well you will need a new exhaust manifold (header). With something like the TD and a remap, you'll have plenty of torque.

Thanks, all. I've ordered a small set of push-pins dead cheap from eBay. @Sighe98 yes it's so that I can replace the black metal collar with a red one to match the red stitching in my car.
-
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the pin holding the reverse lockout shifter out? Some videos suggest using a 'push-pin' while another uses a hex key and hammer. What is the best tool for the job?
-
Excellent, thanks!
-
Thanks, so where do I get a push pin from? Do you know the diameter?
-
ABS sensor?

Which ones? I have a set of Rota Blitz.

I'm on 225/45 17x8 Falken Azenis FK510 on a lowered car and the handling is amazingly precise while the ride quality is firm but still comfortable. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

I went to wider 17" and I'm glad as the ride/handling balance is just right. Sent from my LG-Q6 using Tapatalk

For modded cars, Adrian Flux have been good. I've used them for about 15 years now.

Good luck with your search. I don't see many red ones at all.
