1. Definitely worthwhile trying stock car on track, its quite capable 2. TD NA tune is an easy option - imo one of the best modes you can do (and if you decide to go with FI turbo kit later you would be 1/3 there already) 3. Then its a choice depending on what you aim for, reasons for upgrade, budget, etc, etc... I went for BBK and suspension upgrade and new wheels first. Good for weekend driving and occasional track days. Does not raise maintenance costs (if anything with BBK you should be able to save on pads somewhat) and unless you make suspension stiffer not much difference for daily driving. But then... I have made my mind by now and my GT 86 will be making a trip to Warrington end of this month I should be able to tell you in a few month I will give it a proper test end of August...

Welcome to the club! I also drive auto (2017 version). TD NA manifold and tune is a no-brainer option IMO. Makes a big difference in mid range (not much change in noise, but plenty of choice there). FD change is on my to do list (later this month [emoji3], hurrah). Focal speakers is a cheap and cheerful upgrade unless you want smth more high end. Brake pads (or front BBK if you can stretch) upgrade is another option to consider. Plenty of wheels to choose from, both new and second hand. Go to few meetings and see which ones you like. Bedford Autodrome is unusual in that it runs in an anti-clockwise format which offers a nice change. The GT is a massive 4.2 miles long, offers amazing value and putting together a good complete lap is a drivers challenge. The South West configuration is as used by the BRDC F4 Championship drivers in testing. The 2.3 mile SEN layout is a real treat for drivers and Evo magazine's favourite for car testing. -

Definitely shop around... difference in quoted premiums for a modded car was staggering I have Sky Insurance, but mainly because changing cover when I add mods was quite easy. Greenlight unfortunately does not cover London

Focals are fine if you are after cheep and cheerful option with noticeable difference to stock. I dont think spending anothet 400-500 quid would be worthwhile for me, have other priorities (but that depends in how important its for you). I would like to add woofer instead of spare which can be removed when I go on track. Think it would make a big difference to the music I usually listen to, but it was too expensive for imo. I run Yellowstuff with KSports bbk front and stock rears. They have squealed for couple days but after that no noise, been on for 6mth (around 3.5k miles) and 4 track days later doing fine. Circuit wants us at the stand by 9:00 am. It should take me about 2hrs (ish), but I aim to be there around 8:30ish and get noise testing done before coming to the club stand. Its only few of us, couple sweet treats already in the boot and I hope we can get a coffee either before or right after 10:45 track session. See ya there!
