Will get a can of acf50 for now, but if the strip keep getting looser will ask Toyota to replace it anyway. Thanks for the heads up what to look for, btw. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Ok, my GT86 is only 8 mth old, but the rubber strip under the bonnet already feeld a bit loose when the hood is opened. No wonder its prone to rust. Looks like acf50 is enough to prevent it, or do I need the strip to be replaced as well? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Experience of Tuning Developments' NA package

If you find cheep and cheerful option to get replacement TPMS fitted on aftermarket wheels let me know. The warning light no longer bothers me, but interested to hear what options are there. And btw - Mps4[emoji1], more wet grip. I think I will need it at Brands if the weather stays this way[emoji54]. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk -

Glad to hear you (and the car) are fine. I'll be at Brands next weekend, hope its better than Bedford 2 weeks ago although looks like its going to be below freezing overnight[emoji54]. The noise level is high though. Would be interested what reading others get, also with TD turbo. Lets try to see what we get at Tunerfest. Does anyone has a proper noise measurement tool to bring along? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk -
26.5mpg after 4k miles of mainly city driving (and including 3 days at Milbrook and 3 track days). Although on motorways it goes up to 38-40 mpg. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

You are welcome [emoji16]. I also ordered hague headrest mount over the weekend. After some more googling I noticed that hague headrest mount also needs tripod adapter for go pro. I will also probably get a suction mount as well with tether for rear window view as an extra option (can also twist it to show rear view). I would not want to risk putting suction mount outside though. Even if tethered it can easily cause damage. Small external mic is a different matter. I probably will consider it as an addition later, but want to see first how the rest of the goodies work together. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

After few track days I decided to buy a second hand GoPro Hero 5. Doing few track days, plus skiing in winter and rafting and biking in summer was good enough excuse to justify the expense [emoji6]. The main purpose is mainly fun, but considering how inconsistent my laps are may be by filming couple full sessions I may see where it all goes wrong (and occasionally right) and improve a bit[emoji2]. I'll have an extra battery and intend to use Harry LapTimer. Can I ask good people advice on : - best mounting option (was thinking just using flat mount on top of dash board and may be tether to the vents)? - is getting a cheap odb reader worthwhile and if so which one? - software, ideally free, or is Harry LapTimer good enough on its own; - any other advice? Many thanks Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Great, thanks again [emoji3]. Good to know HLT can deal with it all. Hague it is then... Will see how it goes on 4th at Brands Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I remember watching 1st one before doing my 1st track day at Bedford. Thank you [emoji16] was helpful. I think this is what i am after. Did you use HLT to put it together? Like the sound as well, where did you put the mic? Did you get the reading from the phone? Also, out of intetest- do you find gloves helpful? How comfortable are they? Well, if I go scuba I will probably get a case for it anyway (although considering the nose bleed last time I may be calling a day on that pursuit o[emoji856]). I didnt find rear window mounting appealing, both in term of view and how the camera seem to adjust the light to focus on the inside of the cabin. Headrest mount seem like a good balance, but seem rather expensive for what it is... Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I already have HLT petrolhead edition. It does not use GPS data from GoPro 5, but can overlay GoPro video on phone gps and track position, acceleration, throtle. I am looking at headrest mount now. I guess if it points towards instructor its ok from driver position, but it does not immediately strike me like a safest set up. Its also bloody expensive (nearly 1/2 of what i paid for 2nd hand go pro + extra battery and couple extra mounts). But it does have a benefit of being able to see the wheel, gears, etc, so may be a better option... hmm Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Totally agree, just had my first wet track day at Bedford, very similar experience (although I have auto and still on stock exhaust except for TD manifold). What noise reading you get with TD catback? Just thinking about next mods...[emoji3] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk -

Noise tested at Bedford today - 74.5db @ 4.5k revs. (Just NA tuning package with manifold, no cat back) Plenty of headroom for Thruxton🖒[emoji16] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk- 231 replies

Yes, see other thread. Noticeable difference, but should have probably put silent coat on entire doors. Still better than it was, particularly at low volume. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I left it like this, but probably should have done entire door Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Here is what I've got. And you can see the difference between stock and Focal speakers Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I got Silent Coat. Its cheap and you can choose different sheets or a larger pack if you decide to insulate rear under seats or sides later. To be honest I probably should have put more as it does make a difference (may be at some stage in the future). Dynamat is more expensive but seem to get better reviews. Nope, was not brave enough even after reading how easy it is. Good man Del at Polimax did it for me while I was getting windows tinted. He did it much cheaper, but the range I was quoted from few other places (mind you in London) was between 90 and 120 quid (plus deadening material that you can select or buy yourself on Amazon or Ebay) Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I have got Focals with SilentCoat installed this weekend (photos and comments to follow in my blog). Obviously not as good as my family Lexus, but its a noticeable improvement, particularly low volume bass. It wouldn't be my 1st item on the mods list, but its reasonably priced and hopefully will make longer trips a bit more enjoyable. Although I have already seen a woofer that can be installed instead of space saver and its removable for track days[emoji16]... unfortunately more expensive... Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I was thinking April 30th (opentrack). No chance I will be allowed 3rd one in 1 month [emoji21]. Have fun and enjoy! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Adi - off topic, but when are you planning to go to Thruxton? I would also be interested in db reading for the future though. [emoji6] All - dumb question- with TD (or another aftermarket) manifold, if you go with this how do you deal with MOT? I am sure there is an answer on the forum, but thought this may be a place to ask. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
