So Sad, RIP Smudge. We will truly miss him His cheeky responses and comments were not always to everyone's liking but he was helpful and friendly on PMs to some of us newbies. My condolences to his loved ones, family and friends. We should arrange flowers from the club I think. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

I will put the club stands plan on the forum. You can come and see if there is a space for an extra car in the morning and if so park with us. But definitely come over and say [emoji112]. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

Yes, club stand registration is separate. I dont think you have booked club stand (at least you were not on the list Simon sent me), so I suggest you e-mail them and ask for a space on the club stand (let me know if you want e-mail address, can PM to you). There are 7 of us booked. Details should follow end of this week (if not will chase again).

List updated. I have asked Simon from TimeAttack to confirm when details will be sent out and will update you guys as soon as I know

Hey Max Welcome onboard! I would say your best bet is to look for 2nd hand car and budget for new wheels and NA tuning package (decat manifold + remap). Depending on manifold and wheels that would be £2k +. Abbey (http://www.abbeymotorsport.co.uk) is closest specialist garage/ tuner for you (have used them several times myself, highly recommended). Alternative is to look after club members selling modified N/A or boosted car and get it before they put it back to stock (which is pretty common). If you after boosted GT86 that would be best and most cost effective way, and many cars would have coilovers and other worthwhile upgrades. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

Hope you all have received e-mail from MSV (or look in your spam folder) about cancelled Tunertfest South on June 14th. For those who have booked tickets and club stand, tickets are valid for Go Japan! at Brands Hatch on September 13th. You can either (a) join us on September 13th (we will have a club stand) or (b) get credit valid until the end of 2021 (use the following link https://covid19.msv.com/Covid19/BrandsHatch/Tunerfest before August 14th). For those who have tickets for both, get a credit and hopefully you can use it next year. I will confirm club stand details and logistics closer to the date (MSV offices still closed). Hope to see you there😎 (will have muffins 😉)

Track Day - Brands Hatch Indy Track days are back! Even with social distancing rules in place we can enjoy GT86 on track and shout at each other across the pits! Thursday, June 18th (MSVT) £259 Brands Hatch Circuit is a real favourite amongst track day drivers. This Indy circuit is surprisingly difficult to perfect with double apexes at both Druids and Clearways. The swoops and dips add to excitement culminating in Paddock Hill Bend often described as being like dropping off the edge of the world! It should be on the list of must-dos for every track day driver in the country! https://www.msvtrackdays.com/car/circuits/brands-hatch/ Link to book: https://www.msvtrackdays.com/car/calendar/2020/june/18-bh/ Good circuit guide https://driver61.com/circuit-guide/brands-hatch-indy/ Lets see who's going: 1. @VAD17 2. @Kaltorak 3. @AJ124 4. @maurice … + couple non-GT86 friends

Welcome onboard! You cant go wrong with TD NA tune (or turbo in you want more). I have Gramlight Rays, not as expensive and Lucas at Partbox often has a good deal on them. I have Tein Flex As, popular and very good for the price, both on normal roads and track (although a bit wobbly for my liking beyond 10 clicks from hard). Ksports are pretty good (I had them for nearly 2.5 yrs now), consider Reyland kit though as well. Reyland also do disks for Ksport, which are cheaper and aparently just as good. I cant count number of times I had the same issue. Even today my 4m old battery died (to be fair have not used the car for over 2 weeks due to cov and prior to that it was a 1.5mile round trip to shop), but at least it opened first time. 11 counterclockwise/ 3 clockwise is about right, and depending on how lucky/ unlucky you are it can take 15-20 mins to unlock (its like continuous and frustrating rocking). This thread has good recommendations tried and tested by many members: - WD40 - Allen Key (I use padded garden glove as well) - applying slightly more force counterclockwise Solar battery charger may be a good purchase for the future. Good luck!

Glad you finally got in [emoji846] Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

I had to apply force, particularly counter clockwise (had to limit it though, was afraid of breaking the key). Out of 3 times I tried only 1st took a long time, but I wouldn't want to try locking it and unlocking again. I assume you tried spraying WD40 on the key as well? Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

I had same issue (all 3 times before Toyota replaced the battery) - clockwise it was moving about 1/4 or more of the revolution, while anticlockwise only just a bit. 1st time it took me around 20 mins to unlock (i found padded gloves to make it slightly more bearable). I'd say try again, but yeah its very very annoying Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

AWESOME! Like the new look a lot. Want to order longer wheel nuts as well now for my CR57, but think of L32 instead. Need to decide on colour (was also thinking blue, but don't know if they would look ok with grey car - may be black again). Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

Well, life is basically on hold, no track days or club events until further notice. (Washed the car, still dirty... fuel gets cheaper, nowhere to go... ) Stay safe until the life re-starts [emoji40] Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk
