  2. According to a pig farmer I used to know, a pig is the only farm animal which, if given the choice, WON'T wallow in its own dirt! I've had this conversation loads of times... I'll not set foot in subway again unless they u-turn on this. I'm all for catering for everyone's palate. But not at the expense of "our" choices. I wasn't a big fan anyway, meatball marinara with red onion and olives on herb & cheese bread was the only thing I liked...
  3. 7kg with 4 weeks to go! But I've stalled ......
  4. Just logged on to my justgiving page and nearly fell off my perch! I wasn't expecting anything until we'd finished the challenge! Thank you!
  5. Really need to get moving on this for the 8th June! I've not had any response from Toyota so I'm making an executive decision! Donnington can accomodate us (museum, cafe etc) for the big meet on the Sunday, and Lauren is currently pursuing details of some on track fun (not in the 86's unfortunately, but in Caterhams ). Thinking we could stay somewhere on the Sat night, dinner & drinks, then Donny on the Sunday? Would everyone be happy at that? If so, please start a list so we can get an idea of numbers .... Cheers

    Scottish Meet - 27/4/14

We've been threatening to do a West vs East meet in Scotland for a while now so it's time to lay down the gauntlet!!!!! To tie in with Faith's next visit to the nicer side of the border I think it's time us soapdodgers from the west showed the eastern gadgies how to drive, ken, eh??? (there's a bitter rivalry between east & west!) As it would be highly illegal to sort out our differences on the open highway I've got a better idea! Thinking we could do a meet somewhere, on neutral ground, from about 11am before venturing into the unknown (or Edinburgh as it's commonly known) to Raceland for a karting competition. Not that there will be much competition from you softies over there!!!! Everyone is of course welcome but it would be great if any of the Northern/North East owners fancied the trip up! I'll get on the scrounge again for a few prizes and see what I can come up with to entice as many owners as possible to take part! Anyone up for it??

    Scottish Meet - 27/4/14

What an excellent day! Lauren - I am a convert to outdoor tracks! Here's a few pics I got: Quote of the day for me: Martin - Griffinnn - "I NEARLY GOT KILLED" hahahahaha I'll leave the events reporting to others but my highlights were: Climb41 yet again gatecrashing a Scottish meet Another BRZ being there!! Faith, the only person out on the track who should've had her sat nav to find the route and lastly, Paul1961 .................... One thing to say to you pal: Everyone thought it was a great day! Can't wait to do it again sometime soon!!!
  10. Thanks Keith! Back on it with a vengeance! Just over 3kgs to go and 5 weeks to do it! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
  11. 15st 3lbs again! I've stalled, HELP!!!??? This week I've had no beer, 1 kebab (bbq chicken), no fry ups. The occasional biscuit/cake though ... On a sort-of plus note I have set up a Justgiving page! Kind of makes it feel a bit more official now so hopefully that will give me a big push this week! https://www.justgiving.com/fatrab This weeks shopping list: Green Tea Organic fruit & veg Corn fed chicken Nuts This weeks exercize regime: Walk to/from work each day Swimming Tuesday & Thursday Cycling Monday & Wednesday night Any tips or words of encouragement warmly accepted at this stage folks, I feel like I'm failing......
  12. Centre section and back box now sold. Blitz secondary decat pipe still for sale £120ono
  13. Oh, btw, I didn't loose anything this week, but that's hardly surprising since I weighed in this morning after my feast last night! System not fully flushed out yet. It stings man, IT STINGS!!!
  14. Lol didn't have anyone available to hold the phone while we did it, apologies for the poor quality, plus it was really dark inside ....... I'm just making excuses for my poor effort and commitment! Keith. There is an atom bomb in my pants. The wings going inbound is nothing compared to the experience at the other end this morning Parts 2 & 3 here: Jan & Rab Reaper Wing Challenge Part 2 Jan & Rab Reaper Wing Challenge Part 3 Because we both completed the challenge, Pappy's will treat a different local family each month who are affected by cancer to a slap up meal f.o.c. and they are also going to contact our local newspaper to announce an official charity event which Jan and I have been invited to come back and take part in. Massive respect to Auld Pappy I also have to say well done to Jan who ate the wings as if they were coated in yoghurt! Cool as a cucumber Mrs W xx

    Space Saver wheel

If it's 114.3mm pcd it's from an STi, Just be sure to get one from a UK spec Impreza Turbo 2000 from 1994 to 2001 (the classic shape)

    Space Saver wheel

I bought a spare oem wheel and tyre soon after I got my car but recently changed to a space saver. The gunk is no use if you have a blow out or sidewall puncture. I bought at 94-01 Impreza Turbo space saver. You just need to be careful which space saver you buy as certain Subaru fitments don't fit over the BRZ/86 brakes. Mine was £20 from ebay
  18. Thank you Quball! Very much appreciated! Just a wee update; This morning's weigh in ......... 15st 3lbs! I've now lost 1st 1lb (6.8kg) in total
  19. Keith, this is me doing their burger challenge earlier this year. I smashed the record by over 4 minutes
  20. In order to give me some support & encouragement to up my game, punish me for my sneaky breakfasts, the occasional kebab and a few pints here and there, my local eatery, Pappy's Traditional Smokehoose, to tie in with their Hamilton restaurant opening, have challenged me to do their Reaper Wings Challenge for charity! https://www.facebook.com/pappyswishaw?fref=ts It involves eating 8 of the hottest wings on the planet! Then sitting for 10 minutes without touching a nice cold glass of milk which they place in front of you just for added torture. If anyone is going to be near Hamilton next weekend please come along and support me and Macmillan. I'll post details as soon as the date and time are set ....... I tasted the sauce used to make these last weekend and it is tasty but the after burn is like nothing I have ever experienced in my life! The toilet roll will be in the fridge

    VVTi fault

+1 for the VVTi fault Car droped at dealer yesterday - CEL flashing, TC light on, Cruise control light gone orange and inop, rough idle/stall. Random cylinder misfire and Stall log reported so far ...... Will keep you all up to date

    VVTi fault

I'm having to re-learn the car again, its a totally different beast from when it had the winter tyres, on standard suspension, with the turbo. It caught me out on a slippery roundabout on the way home from the garage on Saturday, so I took it a long run yesterday with a mixed bag of driving roads included. Honestly Keith I think it comes down to your relationship with your dealer more than anything else regards the warranty. I had to pay a bit for the extra work involved but the parts were all covered, as were the "book" labour costs. So far as I know the vvt and chirping are not related. Mine gets louder on occasions but I don't stick to the one type of fuel so that could be a factor?? Wish I had brought my car down south this week, I was like a fish out of water driving it yesterday. Been too used to driving that blue ovaled bit of nonsense that Jan owns!! Talking of which, it's going to be for sale soon if you know anyone with a death wish and bottomless pockets for the fuel bills!
