I’m convinced my headlights aren’t as bright as they once were. Does anyone know the OEM part number for the standard bulbs (2016 pre facelift)? Alternatively if anyone upgraded the bulbs to something brighter and had good results please let me know. I’m looking for a bulb only replacement, and brighter rather than ‘bluer’ is my priority. Hi, I’ve read quite a bit about bumper sag. I am planning to have the bumper resprayed, and the plan is to remove it and respray it independently (I’m using a bodyshop, not DIY). Does the bumper sag only affect specific Model Years? Mine is a 2016 ‘16 Is there anything specific that needs to be done to prevent sag, during uninstall or reinstall? Cheers!

I’ve had the OEM flaps fitted for over 3 years. I like them on my black car. Quite subtle.

But ‘Ivsa’ seemed so genuine. She was clearly into me.

Looks good; similar to my DIY job using a cover from Ali Express. I'm sure your Royal Steering Wheels one will be slightly better quality and certainly a lot less effort!

Dealers can get the pins (dirt cheap), but my local didn't have them in stock. As for getting them right now... good luck.

However this works, surely you'll be missing a crossover for the new dash speakers? You don't want to send full range to them. Suprised you managed to fit 4" speakers in the dash You haven't provided the model of the HU so not sure how anyone is going to be able to help. Agree with Twigman; xtrons forum is going to be more helpful for you.

I’m using an iPhone 6S. I found another quirk with the car, which I queried on the forum and no one else confirmed. However I was able to replicate the same on other 86’s. It was just that other people weren’t creating the same conditions to notice it. Maybe it’s unique to a small number of cars, or maybe it’s something related to user behaviour.

I use spotify daily, and have this issue maybe once every couple of months. I think I can still skip tracks using the HU, but the title / album / artist is unknown. Haven't been able to replicate reliably, but it may have something to do with whats the last 'audio' app (includes YoueTube etc) you were using before connecting to bluetooth. I generally find it fixes itself after the car has been off for a while and I reconnect, so I put it down to a 'quirk' I can live with. I also find it you break the Bluetooth connection when the HU is not expecting it, for example if connected device goes out of range or you put your phone in flight mode when connected it can cause issues re-connecting. Had to re-config the bluetooth connection a handful of times over the last couple of years. I imagine if you delete the pairing and re setup you'll be working again? If you dig deeper and find the cause and a fix, I'm interested.

Hey all, I thought some of you might be interested in my audio install, so here goes. There is a full build log on the other forum (sorry, I found that one first 😊) so I’ll keep this one to the highlights. I wanted a relatively stealthy install, keeping the stock HU. Also, I didn't want to do anything irreversible. No splicing into wires, drilling into panels, cutting polystyrene in boot or boot floor carpet etc. I accepted that running new cables was going to require a few irreversible mods. There are two main plug and play options. 1. The focal 165TOY door woofer and tweeter; discarded as I want more volume and bass. 2. OEM+ imported from overseas. Probably about two grand once imported and installed. I heard one and it sounded pretty good, but I reckon for the money I can do better if I put the hours in. I fancied a custom install and a new wood-work project, so set about fabricating. The kit: Hertz HDP5 Amp (4x100W and 1x 550W) Hertz H8 DSP Hertz MPK163.3 3-Way speakers; woofers for the doors, mid and tweeter in the dash Hertz HX300D subwoofer And a massive list of other stuff to make it happen. This was an international effort with some stuff coming from as far as Australia (dash speaker mounts) The whole process took a few months, working at the weekends. The car is my daily, and was used throughout, limiting progress speed. I went to the professionals for the DSP, to get it setup optimally. The entire custom wiring loom is wrapped in Tessa Tape for a professional looking finish. It also means that if I come to sell or replace the car it can be easily removed and installed in another vehicle. The most difficult bit of the job is neatly running wires through the dash and into the doors. It delivers the right compromise of quality and power for me. At maximum volume, the rear-view mirror points to the roof, which is fun. All in, slightly over £3k and probably 100Hrs effort; would have been quicker if I didn’t have to leave the car drivable at the end of each weekend. Small update, installed the Hertz HRC Subwoofer remote today. Fits nicely in the coin tray in the front. Great little addition; should have installed it from the start. Straightforward to install, just one wire to run. The hardest bit was removing the start button panel. YouTube to the rescue.

Yeah, both front and rear pads came with a small sachet of copper grease. Didn’t apply it to the pins. The pads came with shims, the plates that clip into the calipers (not sure what they’re called) and copper grease. No rubber boots or seals in the kit.
