Do you think this door is repairable or need replacing?
Peter replied to DavidSpratt's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
A kind person hit my passenger door and done a runner so not an insurance job, the door was repaired and the whole side of the car was resprayed to ensure that there was no miss-match. Paint on your car can change over time and the latest batch of your colour may not be an exact match. When getting quotes get two one for an insurance job and one for none insurance it is surprising the difference. -
I have the BRZ version it is my daily ride and behaves well in traffic when I hit the dual carriage way I have a very responsive sports car, country roads it handles well and tends to leave others behind through the bends. Some say that on long journey's the car is to noisy, a fortnights luggage in the boot deadened the road noise,in France I normally drive 300 miles on none toll roads between hotels and find the car very comfortable. Once at our destination and rid of the luggage its time to take to the mountain roads and have some fun and that is what my BRZ is all about having fun

Go on the internet and cast your net wide some areas have low car prices due to unemployment in the area this is where you can pick up some bargains, You can print of good deals and use them when haggling with the dealer. You may pay out £50 traveling but worth it if you can save £500+

Aero Bumper Damage, Any Options for Fix?
Peter replied to infernouk's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Chips Away are worth a quote my wife has had some work done on her car and they did a good job plus the work is guaranteed -
Do your research and look for ex-demo cars when there is a model change I managed to haggle my BRZ down to £21000 6 month old with 232 miles on the clock, full warranty and 3years breakdown cover

I have used an independent garage for the last 15 years and have never been let down. My Hyundai main service was quoted at £800 by the main dealer, independent £650 with interim service at £96, a replacement exhaust by the main dealer £860, independent stainless steel £360. My BRZ will be maintained by my regular garage as I can trust them

Get an independent quote listing all the parts needed so that you know exactly what has got to be done. check with your insurance on any financial penalties you may suffer for your no fault shunt and put a claim in. My wife and I use a broker who always gets us a better deal than the internet and advises on claims to make sure we get every thing you are entitled to

Hi have been enjoying my BRZ since April 17. Just returned from 14 days in France, spent 3 days driving down on winding country roads to the Med spent 7 days exploring small villages, then spent 3 days returning to Calais on some more wobbly roads a total 2200 miles. It is what driving is all about as far as I am concerned. I am married 3 grown daughters and 5 grand children, music in the car at present Ranchero ZZ Top, favourite instrument metal guitar and jazz sax. Hope to meet some of you some time

Listen junior I am the wrong side of 70, it is all about the car and those lovely winding roads
