I went to Toyota Sandhurst looking for a second hand GT86, asked them to phone me when they had found a low mileage job and never heard from them and ended up with a BRZ. The garage I have been using for the last 3 years is Surrey Subaru Specialists, Unit 6, Bridge Trade & Industrial Park, Bridge Rd, Camberley Surrey. GU15 2QR. He only use Subaru parts and the correct oils, my car has always been sweet to drive, the only problem he needs 3-4 weeks notice

I am using Surrey Subaru Specialist at Camberley, my BRZ is running as smooth as silk

Spayed the blade with WD40 amd left it in the lock before twisting and then only twisting gradually it eventually turned without breaking, A neighbor told me my alarm went off due to three foxes dancing on my bonnet and roof setting the alarm off and flattening the batteries, bloody foxes

Always use the wife's car when picking up from garden centers and B&Q etc onk onk

Nasty know how you feel I have had to pay out for two as they both just come under my excess

In the past I used a very good independent workshop Basic service + MOT with the main service every 5 years had the car for 10 years no problem and that is the minimum you should be doing. I have no faith in my local main dealer so use an independent specialist who has many years experience with Subaru and does not work on other brands has all the correct fluids and spares. Not cheap but not as ecpencive as the main dealer.

I bet both their insurance companies are running for the hills probably leaving the drivers with finance debts while their wrecks are parked in the scrapyard

The standard seats in my BRZ are great on long journeys (600 miles)
-
Due to my age the BRZ will probably be my final car unless I win Euro millions then it will be a Bristol Fighter
-
If you go to the insurance company your next year premium will probably increase it is not always wise to make small claims. Remember if you have witnesses you can always use the small claims court for a no fault claim
-
There was a 16 plate BRZ, 20K miles for £19K at my local Sub dealer Looked clean. your scrapes could cost you £1K to put right but put £2k on the price. DONT use spray cans it will look like a bodged job
-

Peter replied to Gringosteve's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
If you get a bad job by Chipsaway contact their head office they will follow it up. I am lucky our local guy has a fully kitted out works unit and produces some good work and is starting to get some high end cars in -
I have 9 years no claim and was quoted £700, I contacted Churchill it came down to£305
-
It was reg October 16 so did not have the new radio, it is the SELUX plus they threw in a set of carpets including the boot, also worth considering it came with 4.5 years warrantee, 2.5 years AA, also try for £50 for a tank of fuel (do not let them fill it as they will put in crap
-
I purchased an ex demo 230 miles on the clock £21,500 with full speck, do your homework and haggle hard

Toured France last year in the BRZ tend to give toll roads a miss nearest to Spain was the Bay of Roses, your blog brought back some good memories. Next year I plan to drive to the Med turn left into Italy and head for Pisa and renting a apartment for a week.

Ok I am an old git in my 75th year with 9 years no claim, I asked my broker for a quote on my BRZ and was told £700 I had a look around and spoke to Churchill and was quoted £305. Always get quotes 30 days before you need it, they will know you still have time to look around and you are not desperate, Thursday is a good day as they will be looking to hit their end of the week sales target. Hope you find what you are looking for I am having a lot of fun in my BRZ

I have used ChipsAway for my silver BRZ with excellent results and their work is guaranteed
