Good morning Fensport
-
I have ordered one of the Bluetooth adaptors suggested above, should be with me tomorrow. I have an 'old' Samsung phone that I will be using with Torq to monitor the data points my existing gauges don't, mainly inlet temp and actual water and oil temps (only have indications of these currently). Thank you for the great write up, Alec - glad to see you religiously stuck to the speed limit in the video

I think that is (very) wishful thinking on the part of the Subaru dealer. AFAIK, the agreement is that Subaru can only sell one BRZ for every 10 GT86s sold, so if Toyota did drop the '86, that restriction could be lifted. As far as your question as to what would happen if they did, well, you would not be able to go into your dealer and buy one any more . Spares would not be a problem, My son had a Mk4 Supra TwinTurbo which we could still order any spares / parts we wanted through our local Toyota dealer, 10 years after Toyota GT stopped importing the cars.

To be honest, Keith, the cable was so cheap, I couldn't be bothered -

For the price, Keith, I am really impressed :-) I see that there is actually a UK agent for the Mobius camera and accessories, although is it £59.95 from them. Considering the very quick time from China, I personally don't recom it is worth the extra £13, though. The long USB cable I ordered is faulty, though, so had to get a replacement from Maplin . I have ordered a 3 m cable with a 90 degree mini USB plug, as the existing straight one touches the back of the mirror, and there is a very slight vibration to the sound. I have also got a 64 gig micro SD memory card, which works perfectly. -

Camera arrived today (only ordered last Saturday!) and fitted. Now to go and test it While I was about it, I also bought my car an 11 inch Asus touch screen laptop, so I can easily down load any videos, as well as logs from my AEM and Innovate gauges -
whether I should assume anything about the weather!
Pitman replied to Captain Duff's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Well, I will be driving home tomorrow evening from South Wales, on my only 4th best in the latest tyre survey Goodyear Eagles I haven't bothered to fit my winter wheels and tyres this winter, and when I get my act together, they will be up for sale, as they won't fit my car next year -
Just to give my view on the original question. in my opinion, I belong to both Uk forums, and the US one, because I love my GT86, and yes, I am also proud of how I, with Adrian's help, made it my own. I love sharing the pleasure I get from my car with others - I have never declined to allow any genuine fellow enthusiast the chance to drive my car, and see no reason why not to share my mods with others on the forum(s). The fact also remains, the interweb and forums are very open and virtual worlds, and you cannot be selective with what you share, if you join the community. Stories always get out one way or another, Anyway, to all my fellow forum members

don't know what you are on about Mark . My car is totally standard (in my dreams! )

I think that the TRD cold air intake is TRD USA, not TRD Japan, so perhaps that is why you cannot relate (?locate?) the part number. http://www.toyotaracing.com/trd/parts-detail.html?p=PTR03-18130&years=2013&models=FR-S&categories=Performance%20Engine&subcategories=Air%20Intake%20System

Don't worry - I won't hold it against Lauren . Ian must just not forget who let him have a taste of turbo power before his car was done Also, Keith and Deacon, my car will also have the latest maps by the time the meet happens, as well as a custom Fensport 3" exhaust, complete with resonator and HFC, so it will be double bonkers, without the threat of me getting a Section 59

Well, guys, if you want to arrange a 'private' test drive meet, you are more than welcome. I will bring the car with a decent level of Shell V Power in the tank
