I sincerely hope these pictures are just some graphic artists having fun, and are not serious?

Very much depends on how you define "pensioner" If your boss who took you to dinner is not the same as SWMBO, then you are not yet a pensioner! On the other hand, if you have a free bus pass, then maybe!!!

Not to mention Toyota's money as well

Just to buck the trend of the comments above - my GT86 is quite safe in my driveway / airport parking space!

You must really be missing it I am glad i was able to let you have a brief drive in one again on Saturday Dave
-
Hi Sarah, As a matter of interest, why did you sell it? Dave

As the gauge plugs into the OBD port, you should be able to fit it afterwards.

The 'basic' setup should still be similar to my low boost setting, i.e. circa 295bhp and 235 ft/lb torque That torque figure is from 4000rpm up as well.

I got my 'chrome' indicator bulbs from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181192232674?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 whilst they still flash orange, the look much better than the standard ones. A lot cheaper than the TRD ones!

Really glad it is all back and fully sorted, Keith. Now spill the beans - what did you get for you car yesterday at Fensport? Dave

I don't have the problem - just open the site, and there I am, signed in

No one meets the Stig - he is a presence that just appears when he is required to drive in a car . He was busy driving 3 Porches and a couple of AMG Mercs. He didn't drive my car (I would have been keen for him to do so, though) He made the comment to one of the Top Gear staff, who told Adrian, when I was out in the car. He had just come in from doing some laps in the AMG when we went out. He walks around the whole time in his white suit and helmet, disappearing into the office complex between going out to drive the cars.

After having done the article on the Litchfield S/C car, Top Gear Magazine contacted Fensport with the view to doing a similar article on their AVO Turbo option. An opportunity like this could not be passed up, so Adrian and I have spent the day at the Top Gear track in Surrey . We took both my manual stage 3 car, and the Fensport GT86S automatic car (which is stage 1). Without jumping the gun, I think it is fair to say Top Gear were suitably impressed, and I cannot remember when I had such a fun day Ollie Marriage - the Editor of Top Gear Magazine said that the printed version should be out in about 6 weeks, although he would try a publish a review on their web site sooner. For me I think the highlight of the day was when he took me for some laps of the top Gear track in my car - it really did it well, the handling and acceleration was fantastic A Couple of videos and pictures: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOOjZotmtzo&feature=c4-overview&list=UU78UMY7SeVbKZE2o35uBzSQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xemmuL5v51I&feature=c4-overview&list=UU78UMY7SeVbKZE2o35uBzSQ A massive thank you to Adrian and the Fensport team for building me such an awesome car, and for making yesterday possible

Thank you all for the great comments :+: In Ollie's defense, the 6 weeks is more to do with print lead-times than the time it will take him to write the article. What he did say was that he would try to get a short report onto the Top Gear Magazine website in the next week or so. I will obviously be keeping a very close look out for it Quote from the Stig when Ollie and I were doing the hot laps around the track: "Jesus! .. whats that??? sounds bloody awesome"

Great to see you have your baby back, Keith
-
You will obviously be more than welcome to try my car
-
Great stuff!! Keith must be a very happy chappy! I hope the aircon works OK

Will be full Stage 3 by Friday
-
If you want the best setup, which I totally agree should be the priority, I suggest it would be good for the forum to try and get one of the Japanese peformance magazines to do a 3 way back to back test of the current 3 options. As Fensport's road car is an auto, i would be quite happy for my car to be used as the turbo test platform
-
Well, I dropped mine off there this morning. Will be interesting to see if it is washed when I pick it up on Friday
-
Great write up, Ian - it was a real pleasure to meet you today. Thank you also very much for the lift to the station :)I will post a video of my car on the weekend with the new exhaust fitted (weather permitting)Dave

What do they say about the GT86?

I totally agree with the APR one being the best looking, my only concern is that it looks soooo sexy as in the photo, but it will be ultra vulnerable to stone etc. damage, and curbs.

Abbey Motorsport Sprintex SC kits upgrades
Pitman replied to Mark@Abbey M/S's topic in Abbey Motorsports
This is Marks thread, so I don't want to start a SC vs. TC debate in it, and mess it up. What I will say is, my car is booked back into Fensport the week of Monday 14th October (after Adrian gets back from Oz) to have the 3" Ultimate Racing rear exhaust fitted, and for the full stage 3 mapping to be done. After that, I intend taking my car to Abby (already been agreed with Mark) for him to put it on his dyno, so a direct comparison can be made with the Supercharger kit. I will obviously let Mark drive my car (and hopefully he will let me drive his), and then a true direct comparison can be made of the two systems.I also plan on going to the meet in Coseley on the 9th November, so anyone who goes as well will be welcome to try the best FI solution for themselves
