I hope he has insurance currently, for Chris's sake.

If there is any damage to your exhaust, you are welcome to my standard one . It only did about 6k before the turbo was fitted.

Keith, they are two small springs that replace the indent springs on the gear shift mechanism. The indent springs keep the shift lever in the center of the gate when the car is in neutral. Having stronger springs helps to give a more positive feel when you shift, for example from second to third gear. http://www.mtecind.com/

I an echo the improvement made - I had a set fitted by Fensport a couple of months ago. A combination of the MTEK indent springs, the TRD short shifter, the Whiteline insert for the gearbox mount and Millers nanotech oil turns the gearbox into one that no true petrol head can complain about.

With the ridiculously cheap price of a new front bumper from Toyota, I really don't know why people bother with trying to find a second hand one. They are £188 plus vat.

I guess it is not unusual for a lady not to have nuts!

Faith, you woman's touch must have somehow enabled you to slide the spring clips off of the pin when you removed your badge . Considering the design of the clips, you are indeed very clever. I didn't realise that there were clips on the pins (based on what you said earlier when you removed your badge) - it was only when I removed my bumper after taking off the badge that I found the broken pins, with the clips still very firmly attached They are similar to the picture below, meaning they are designed to be pushed on, but then cannot easily be pushed off: The term Toyota use for them is "push nut", and the part number is SU00304224

There are two clips on the locating pins, so if you just pull the badge off , without removing the bumper to remove the spring clips first, the pins WILL break off. (Don't ask how I know )

I bet you guys don't have this one

Thanks, Chris - someone has to do it Tell me more about the Password canards (You can either pm or text me if you prefer)

Sorry, Ian, my bad. Don't worry, though, now sorted

For those who may not have seen it yet, some nice pictures of my baby :-) http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/292804/toyota_gt86_turbocharged_by_fensport_review_price_and_specs.html

Why? Haven't you read the post on the Owners Club forum that states that black cars are mingers? :-)
-
Great support, Rob, thanks!

Actually my son has a 350Z, and he is a member of this forum. Perhaps this is a very personal advert directed at him?

To adjust the height at the front, just screw the rubber stops in or out. As far as the rear is concerned, I would not dare to post on a public forum how the alignment was adjusted in the body shop of Toyota :-)

I have just received the following message from another forum I used to be active on: Hi, Due to recent security issues with Tapatalk and the way in which they let forum owners know in secret via emails only. Following the lack of response to numerous requests for more information concerning the hole that opened up the site too effectively a Cross-site scripting (XSS) breach. We will be removing tapatalk with immediate effect. We will focus our efforts on leaning and speeding up the site via more traditional methods. Regards

Leave the vents only carbon, spray the rest white. There is a picture somewhere on the FT86 Forum with this done, and it looks really good. Otherwise, get a black GT86 (preferably turbocharged) to test it on Edit: Got bored, so found the picture for you: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1397271&postcount=8

Smudge, I seriously hope you are wrong! I have fitted a number of the TRD aero parts to my car, with the promise of the following benefits: Fender Extension will give a styled look to the wheel arch. Also built to improve aerodynamics. Rear side spoiler is also used in Lexus LFA. By creating a down force to the rear part of the vehicle, it will improve the attached feeling to the ground. By Minimizing the gap between the rear glass and trunk panel will smoothly flow the air and improves the rear stability. http://www.trdparts.jp/english/86_performanceline/aero.html I cannot believe that you know more than TRD, and that they would ever claim something that has not been extensively tested and proven in wind tunnel testing?
