    Drivers Side Window Switch Issue

The protection mechanism has tripped out (usually due to the window freezing). It's a really common issue - if you search on the forum you will find the reset procedure which involves holding the window switches down for 10 seconds if I remember correctly
  2. Good to see everyone today. A nice mixture of old and new faces 👍

Fitted the new battery today. Before I did I thought I'd weigh it and compare to the 65ah one. The new battery is 1.45kg heavier than the 65ah one. I was expecting more to be honest.
  4. Bump. Weather looks decent for tomorrow for this
  5. I've just been sent an email with a discount code for Wheelbase of £25 off so if anyone is looking for wheels from Wheelbase it may help save a little. Code is REF25 and there doesn't seem to be any usage limits

New battery arrived today to replace the 65ah Toyota one as it was only lasting about three days before going flat. Hopefully this one lasts a bit longer!

    Oil starvation on track

I run the Cosworth sump baffle, an oil cooler and use a temperature and pressure gauge to keep my eye on the oil temps and more importantly the pressure drop that goes with higher temps.
  8. Autec Wizard wheels in matt anthracite. All wheels are in excellent condition and all tyres have 6mm+ tread. Wheels have all been ceramic coated with Gtechniq c2. Wheels are 18x8 5x100 et35 and tyres are 225/40/18. I'm located on the West Mids / South Staffs border but regularly travel to Bedford and Tewkesbury so happy to meet up. I'm looking for £850.

    Geo and alignment numbers

If anything I found the opposite - it made the car more stable
  10. I had a similar thing with coolant. The cost for five litres from Subaru was only about the same as one litre from Toyota.

    Cosworth Supercharged GT86

Had mine 7 years at Easter. Done loads and absolutely love it for track days. Think there are 72 changes declared to the insurance so probably easier to link the build thread than list it all! @Molten86 you should start one for your car - nice way to keep track of the changes you make.

    Geo and alignment numbers

I run pretty similar to that apart from mine is -2.5° camber at the front and -2° at the rear

    BBK a good idea?

A BBK won't technically decrease your stopping distances - that's down to the pads and the tyres. You could run a BBK with crap pads and tyres and have a longer stopping distances than OEM brakes with mid range pads and tyres. The big advantage of a BBK is increased heat capacity so if you are doing a lot of sequential high speed stops they'll manage that much better with less fade than an OEM set up which will eventually reach a point of overheating and then fading. It's difficult to imagine a situation you'd manage that in on a public road though other than if you were constantly driving high speed alpine esq descents.

    Condensed mode not condensing

Happening for me too but thought it was just my new phone!

    mixing tyre sizes

Depends on which tyres really. Something decently grippy like a PS4 yes, a ditchfinder brand then no

Tracbox and switches fitted today. Bit fiddly but not too bad.

Head-back stainless system and Abbey remap

It was a JDL Uel with cat. I had the cat section chopped out and the manifold made non catted.

Head-back stainless system and Abbey remap

Looks like good gains. One thing to just keep an eye on - with use (and heat) the 'glue' keeping the manifold cat in place can fail and the cat then exits the manifold usually getting stuck around the overpipe. That's what happened with my catted Uel so just something to keep an eye on (along with the usual Miltek cracking obviously!)
