Fitted the new gear knob I ordered from Anarchy Motive in the US. It's a hefty thing but really improves the shift feel and I like it being closer to the wheel than the stock one. Few pics:- Standard knob for weight comparison: New one: Fitted pic:

Looks like a Yaris to me?

Surely the answer to what Rob bought has already been said and neither confirmed not denied! ;-)

As title really, anyone used 225 tyres on 7" wide wheels? Cheers!

I'm in the Midlands on the staffs West mids boarder. I'll be at the Xmas meet too

Cheers for the feedback Jamie - glad to hear from someone who has them fitted. Are you at the gprm meet?
-
What makes you say it's too wide - I looked on a few tyre manufacturers sites and they say it's ok (although the widest allowed for a 7" wheel) and it's also a standard size fitment on some honda civic for instance? I take the point about the potential for a slightly wallowy sensation though.

Ah! The problem with multiple conversations in one thread! :-)

When I asked I wasn't on about harnesses it was just fitting buckets and using the standard 3 point belts.
-
How come you wouldn't go fixed back buckets without a rear cage? Seen it in a few oem cars - eg mk1 tt sport

It's the beatrush one. I got it from eBay - think it was £30 delivered. Seems like a worthwhile pocket money mod - firms the brake pedal up a little and improves the brake feel.

Had the oil leak finally properly sorted by Rich and the team at RRG. I also had the rusty side glasses replaced. While they had my car Rich also fitted the master cylinder brace I had:- Seems a worthwhile pocket money mod.

There's a video here:- TRD Door Stabilizer: http://youtu.be/0c1BuzJhZuo It doesn't make a massive difference but I could feel a difference after fitting it - turn in definitely felt sharper and more responsive. Co-ordsport on the other forum had them on offer - I'm not sure if they have any left?

Fitted my japspeed carbon strut brace:-

Not sure with mine. Didn't think it would be long but then I started doing a few sprints in it and now really enjoy it. Quite fancy something a bit better built but not much in budget would keep anywhere near the fun factor. So I'll probably just keep tinkering with the '86 and consider my options when the warrenty is up. -
Have you seen this build Keith? http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74059 (Hope it's ok to link to the American forum)

Thanks to Rich and the team at RRG for the expert fitting of the lip!

Couple of updates. Ordered and fitted the TRD door stabiliser kit. Difference is small but noticeable - car definitely seems a little sharper Also fitted a HT Autos front lip spoiler (thanks to the respective owners for the pics from the Gaydon meet)

I doubt it's the sachs coilovers that are fitted. They have been available for a while as an aftermarket fitment. I'm pretty sure it's just dampers made by sachs on the 2015my.

I've got the following Initial D DVD's for sale:- There is the complete first season, complete second season, the animated movie, the extra stage, the battle stage and parts 1, 2 and 3 of season 4. I'm looking for £50 for the lot delivered. Any questions please ask.

Will be interested to hear the without videos as, to be fair, it's not exactly quiet as is! :-) Love the 350z noise by the way!

That's nice Keith!
