When I had the car mapped by Abbey the cold start noise reduction was done but it didn't make any difference. However, there is a newer version of the map l which is supposed to help but I haven't been able to get the update yet as I need to arrange the cable.

I had the original version of the ecutek map that was supposed to make it quiter at start up bit it did nothing. I'm waiting on getting a cable so that I can give the new version a try.

Yeah it's just literally the cat back so second cat still in place. It is a tad loud at start up!

There is another breakfast meet on at RAF Cosford on May 11th if anyone fancies it? I know quite a few people went to the last one so thought I'd post it up.

I think they look awesome but would be prepared to try them on my black '86 if you'd like to give them me! Just to help of course you understand.... :-)

Few of us are meeting up as arranged on the other side at 8.30 at Dobies garden centre at the a5 entrance for anyone else who might fancy joining us.

It's the same format as the last one people attended so about 9 until about lunch time. There is the museum on site which if you've never been is worth a look around (and is free).

That's fantastic faith!

Japanese petrol goes up to 100+ It's 95 I don't remember seeing much of out there.

I've got 4 stock tyres for sale all with 6-7mm of tread (I'll get exact measurements at the weekend but 6-7mm is a minimum). Tyres have covered approx 4000 miles. Tyres are located on the Staffs / West Mids border so I could meet in that area or they could be collected. I could also take them to the fensport meet. I'm looking for £250 for the four.

I'm a bit jury's still out to be honest. Never really had any complaints about my gearbox after about a 1000 miles so apart from quite a lot of extra NVH I'm not sure it adds that much for me.

Cleaned? What is this you speak of? :-)

I had my first year service done yesterday at RRG and had the whiteline gearbox bush insert fitted.
-
Today I fitted my new wheel nuts as the ones that came with the wheels I have were looking a bit tatty.:- Wheels need a clean I know!
-
I'm up at RRG on Saturday for my first service and to have the gearbox bush fitted. I think Will is having an early morning drive up with me and wondered if there's anyone else around who fancies meeting up? Should be there at 9 for a few hours

Be good to see you - have you got your comps on? They've been on my potentials list for a while so good to have a look in person!
-
That's quite some driving time! Aiming to take the scenic route up and hoping at 7.30 on a Saturday morning traffic should be quite light.

Not sure Mark - will try and dig the packaging out. It's nothing fancy though just a small handheld meter. I checked the calibration at work and it ties up with the calibrated equipment in our physics department. I wasn't claiming it to give perfect readings though. I was more thinking that some readings taken of different systems could give potential buyers a little more info.
-
Slow and fast levels Mark?
-
Will has kindly offered to help with drive-by recordings and twigman said the V5 reading is at 3750rpm so will try and get readings at that and 6krpm too.
-
Whiteline or superpro do the subframe bushes. Killers the labour though - I was quoted three hours labour. About £50 for the bush is ok but about £250 to fit seems a bit much!

Anyone need a 2 tonne trolley jack?
Deacon replied to Captain Duff's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
I have the trolley jack. It's good but a bit high if you're lowered at all!
