Bump! -
Next bit of the winter upgrades arrived today - final drive
-
New bits arrived today. The little box attaches to the switch panel which replaces the storage hole by the starter button. Switches will allow me to turn pedal dance on and off, disable the seat belt chime for when I use the harness, turn the radiator fan on and enable speed sensitive door locking

I meant just literally raising the height by 10mm. The ratio in the manual refers to number of turns needed for mm of height change iirc. For the rake (which is what the op means by ratio I think) if he's lowered say 45mm at the front and 40mm at the rear and raises it by 10mm front and rear he'll keep the 5mm rake difference he has now.
-
It shouldn't change it much but the only way to actually know will be to have the alignment checked after. Anything else is just guess work really.

Have a look at this https://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/toyota-gt-86-bucket-seat-guide/ You'll need either a bottom mount or side mount depending on the type of seat (most recliners are bottom mount) so you'll probably need a bottom mount conversion bar set and then a side mount bracket like the ones listed in the article.
-
These are Corbeau not Cobra @will300 but it seems the same applies. A quick Google suggests you'd need to use adaptor bars and then a side mount bracket to fit these are Corbeau don't offer an 86 specific bottom mount.
-
Not sure on that to be honest as I've not looked into seats too much. I'd imagine something like a Buddyclub rail might work though as I believe they're fairly universal for seat mounting?
-
If you adjust 10mm front and rear you should see approximately the same ride height change front to rear so the rake should remain as it is now
-
Any change will alter the alignment but the less the change the less the alteration. On the teins make sure you don't adjust the rings to compress or decompress the spring as this will change the preload. Make sure you undo the collar and rotate the damper to get the ride height change you desire. The adjustment ratio in the manual refers to the amount of turns per mm of height change - doesn't have anything to do with the stance unless you're on about something else by 'adjustment ratio'?

This type of reclining seat might work for you:- https://www.corbeau-seats.com/product/sportline-rrb-reclining-bucket-seat/ If you're a larger gent you'll want to try them first though - maybe see if you can get yourself to somewhere like Demon Tweeks or GSM
-
The passenger side seat is lower than the driver's side seat. Theoretically you could buy the seat mount for a LHD passenger seat and fit it to our RHD drivers seat.

I wondered this too. Combined with the heat shock from sprints (one lap on it with no time to really warm up gently, then a gap, then repeat) may be enough to have heated and cooled the loom and clips to the point they've become brittle.
-
I'm not 100% sure to be honest whether it is a bought in part or one they make themselves.
-
Yes - Flex A's would suit you very well

Had a post track days check over and a few little jobs done at Rogue Motorsport yesterday. Bad news was that one of the rear drop links has snapped (would explain all the understeer on the last Bedford visit) and both front discs have got cracks in that will need replacing before next year's track days. The rear remote reservoirs were relocated to a better position for adjustment and better secured and we had the front bumper off to try and resolve the slight sagging issue (though this was sadly without success as it seems the Autofactory intake scoop stops the bumper fitting quite as snuggly as it should). Couple of pictures Also swapped onto my winter wheel and tyre set up.

Looks fantastic James

Discount for October - NA Tuning Package
Deacon replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
UK cars didn't come with the uprated engine so have never had the 'alleged' 205ps and as Mike said none of them ever read the Toyota quoted figure -
Most 'normal' coilovers will have a curve something like the diagram below. Lots will list 32 clicks of adjustment as a selling point but only 16 will actually do anything and there'll be a considerable ramping up over the last few clicks (sketch is exaggerated). Expensive coilovers will tend to only list about 16 clicks but everyone will have a very noticeable effect and be much more linear (like the sketch below)
-
There are 32 clicks but only 16 make any difference.

Me and Will looked at this at Bedford comparing mine with the bonnet vents and his without (the rest of our spec is pretty similar). The bonnet vents (with rain covers removed) meant I was running about 10° cooler than Will for oil temperatures.
-
The Mini hasn't been supercharged for several generations now though as supercharging doesn't seem to work well for the emissions / mpg requirements
-
I thought it was pretty much set that it's going to have a non turbo version of the 2.4 subaru flat four and is due to produce around 230/240hp

Another session from Bedford featuring the annoying Jag! And a few pictures from the day
