The red and white is Starsky and Hutch's Gran Torino. The General Lee is orange and from the Dukes of Hazard

Can't be unseen now Lauren's said it

Had a few more bits done at, the always awesome, Rogue Motorsport yesterday. Verus Motorsport diffuser was refitted:- Verus Motorsport splitter, carbon end pieces and splitter race upgrade along with Sti side skirts were also fitted:- Quite a mean looking front end now!

I think @will300 looked into this quite a bit before having the Reyland kit so may well be able to help
-
Nothing to add but interested in the responses. The Godspeed kits both look very good vfm.

My 6 year minus plugs cost £293 at RRG Macclesfield so sounds about right
-
Rear pfc.08 pads arrived so just the discs to get now. Still got a little life left in my old ones so these will probably go on in the summer.

I order the thermostat directly from Mocal over the phone. The gauge or torque will give potentially different readings depending on where the reading is taken from. Mines tapped into the sump for instance.
-
Mines a Setrab core with Mocal thermostat plate. I upgraded the thermostat to a 92° one. I put duct tape on my bumper grill to block the core but usually see temps around 85-95° ish. Under very light throttle for sustained periods it can drop into the 70's sometimes.

Mines a HEL set up. Has yours got a thermostat plate mounted below the oil filter? If it's mounted behind the intercooler I'd expect it to run fairly hot to be honest as it'd be shielded from the incoming air?
-
Do you have a picture of where it's mounted? Also, do you have a thermostat installed and what temperature is it? I've changed mine from the supplied one to a higher temp one which helps.

Welcome aboard. Another West Mids member here 🙋♂️

Agree with all the above. Getting an obd reader so you can use the torque app to keep an eye on oil temperatures isn't a bad idea too.

All dampers should be serviced for optimum performance including Teins. Whether you do it or not is obviously up to you and the degradation in performance is probably less noticeable on a cheaper damper than a higher end one.
-
Better valving and higher quality internals will always be better valving and higher quality internals whether they're attached to edfc or not 🤷♂️
-
I'd spend the money on better dampers to be honest rather than worry about the Edfc system. Better dampers with better valving, etc will be more beneficial in the long run.

You can have El giving as much (and even sometimes more) low down than Uel

6 year service and MOT completed today. Brake pads are almost past their best so I've picked up a set of front Pfc 08 pads from a fellow forum member to try. Just need to get the matching rear pads and some new discs ordered and then will aim to get them fitted in the summer.

It's only been in the car for about 3 months so highly unlikely. I've had the same stuff in for over a year and it's fine.

Recall issued on cars to have valve springs replaced 2012-2013
Deacon replied to Lauren's topic in Mechanical
Just 2012-13 cars so unlikely to affect 14 plates onwards unless they'd sat around unregistered for a long time -
Spring rates are less important than the damper valving so it'll be interesting to see how you get on @James18

@James18 glad to help!

Toyota do a reduced price servicing package for cars over 5 years old too. Makes the big (gold) service £200 but doesn't include plugs. Like others have said though at that mileage it doesn't really need them and you'd be better waiting until the recall and just getting them done then. https://www.toyota.co.uk/owners/service-mot-maintenance/servicing?gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1253313&gclid=Cj0KCQiA-onjBRDSARIsAEZXcKY59EaacjXrBKdzt6GyJHU7NntdlqSPXNyX5uzKnFYhqZKRwb4l1jIaAqgdEALw_wcB#

I took my car up to TD to check the mapping hadn't been affected by the new scoop. It had a little and the scoop gave extra headroom for further tweeks giving a nice gain across the board in both power and torque (almost 10 hp and 10 lbft in places). Not bad for a scoop.
