They're 6/6kg

I've had both. Not noticed any difference in drone (the catback will have more effect on that) but the Uel does produce a more bassy tone compared to the el

Bugger. That would have been perfect for what I was after

Same spec - 18x8.5"?

I also recently took part in the club trackday at Silverstone (thanks @VAD17) Driving standards were pretty ropey as a lot of race teams were using it as a testday rather than the trackday it was supposed to be but it was still fun when you found a little space. Video is using an external mic mounted on the rear bumper so isn't as loud as it appears.

I've done some data logs on the intake temps. With just the open HKS intake I was seeing intake temps in excess of 40° above ambient. With the box and wrapping I was seeing 3-7° above ambient and with the box, wrapping and scoop I was seeing ambient to 2° above ambient even after 20/25 minute sessions on track. Certainly seems quite effective.

Had the intake scoop fitted. It's certainly a touch larger than the oem one...

That's the gauge I've got. My temp sensor is plumbed into the sump and pressure from the block.

Now sold.

I have my custom made Rogue Motorsport sports cat pipe for sale. Pipe is in almost as new condition and has only done around a 1000 miles on the car. Only selling as they have made me a new one with an extra silencer to help with trackday noise limits. I'm looking for £200 collected and I'm located on the West Mids / South Staffs border but travel to Bedford and Tewkesbury fairly regularly so could also arrange to meet up. Any questions please ask.

I also ordered a new intake scoop from Autofactory in Japan. It's much, much bigger than the oem scoop and Autofactory developed it for use on their Super Taikyu 86's. It's being fitted in a few weeks and should provide a ram-air effect at speed while also keeping the intake air temps down even further.

Price wise they are both about £1200 and obviously that's the manifold and overpipe. Dyno below shows my car with a Cobra non resonated catback, perrin intake hose, HKS drop in filter and EcuTek map against Rogue Motorsport El manifold, custom intake (but pre heat wrapping), Rogue Motorsport resonated sports cat pipe and HKS HiPower Spec L cat back Torque gain in the dip peaks around 33lbft and power in the dip by about 25hp. Power gain at the top end is about 20hp.

Quick update. I wanted to keep the intake temps down further so I bought some DEI Reflect-a-gold to wrap the metal intake pipe and the top of the airbox. The intake pipe definitely needed wrapping as was becoming noticeably hot after a run. The airbox top not so much but was becoming a little warm so I figured I may as well to reduce any convection heat. The bottom of the box was already wrapped with teknofibra which is very high temp resistant as this is where the main radiant heat from the manifold would be hitting.

Bump and price drop to £200. Really high quality cat for anyone looking to swap to a more high flowing one.

Ouch! That could have been very nasty. Will 7mm be enough - still sounds rather close?
-
Could also be slight differences in the exhausts themselves as they are effectively handmade?
-
Do you have any pictures of where you mean?

I've just had a full size key cut too. Cost me £20 and they had blanks for all different manufactures so just used a Toyota blank. Don't think they were a chain though so worth just trying somewhere else maybe

Had a winter protection detail done recently as the car hadn't been detailed for absolutely ages. Took the car to Perfect Polish in Shrewsbury and was very impressed with their work. The winter protection detail includes the following:- Full safe wash & decontamination (tar & fallout treatment) Hand polish 6 month paintwork sealant Wheels deep cleaned and protected Windscreen rain repellent treatment Full interior valet Few before and afters:-

That's what I'm finding currently

At the moment I can't fault them at all, no smearing etc. It may be because I've also had the screen treated when it was detailed recently though?

My oem wiper blades finally gave up the ghost and disintegrated so I replaced them with a set of Bosch Aerotwin wipers. Difference is very noticeable and they're much quieter. I also added a couple of 'safety' warning stickers in the cabin
