They have recently done quite a large update on Assetto Corsa on the PS4 which is now superb. If pcars2 isn't great it may be worth picking up if you don't already have it.
-
If only this fitted with an oil cooler I'd be interested to give it a try 😢

No, I never mentioned a decat fp. I have both. Sam had a decat fp and passed with the cat warm.

I have the JDL one and have had no cat issues. Sam also ran one before and had no issues. Both of us were NA though. I've seen nothing on the US Facebook pages to suggest the JDL cats are crap so it may be you were just really unlucky. I think it's worth dropping them a message and see what they say. Nothing ventured and all that.

I wonder how much of the problem may be down to being supercharged. I know Dan's OEM manifold split and Mark at Abbey said they seen similar on other supercharged cars. Maybe the pressure was high enough in this case to literally blow the cat through?

The custom mats I have are about 4.5 years old and are wearing fine - they they were about £50.

I'd also vote PS4's. Them not being the quietest is more than made up for by their grip in both wet and dry imho.

Good to know I'm not alone! Weird though. The metal of the pedal must be pretty soft.
-
Agreed it is pretty weird and not something I've seen in the past 22 years of driving so I'm a bit bemused as to how and why.

Fitted the Cusco accelerator pedal today. Complete bugger of a job Insitu. Totally wish I'd removed the pedal assembly as others have suggested but it's done now. Few pictures below showing how much closer it brings the accelerator and brake for easier heel and toe. Also a picture of my own brake pedal which I seem to be wearing the edge off which I'm a bit surprised about from 30k miles. Only reservation currently is that the rubber material doesn't protrude anywhere near as much as on the OEM pedals so I wonder how it'll be on a wet day.

You'll really struggle to fit a tow strap on the 86 due to the depth of the mounting hole for the towing eye and the polystyrene type stuff around it. Tow hooks are a much simpler option. For track days I fit a front and rear but only a front is really required at most places.

Midlands Lunch Meet - 23rd September (Hickory's Smokehouse)
Deacon replied to will300's topic in Social Meets
Big thanks to @will300 for arranging this. It was good to meet new and old faces alike. Shame I didn't get chance to catch up with everyone though but eating got in the way! 😂- 48 replies

I see what you mean about the volume @DanJ as you drove away today it's definitely not quiet! Amazing how much difference even a small manifold cat makes.
-
Fifth of a second per click of adjustment for the teins apparently so speed of response will really rest on how much response is required.
-
If I remember correctly most of the active systems respond at best in about 100 milliseconds. A big problem is most require the piston to have completed a full stroke before they can respond.

I use Nokian WRA4's and previously used their WRA3's. Excellent winter tyres that suit our climate well.

18x8 et35 is a nice fitment and works well with a 225/40/18 tyre

Quick clean and a wipe over with autofinesse tough coat

Another vote for VPower. Never used anything else.

Is it true that uel manifolds encourage ringland fail?
Deacon replied to Blameshift's topic in Mechanical
Providing you keep the stock second cat, not enough to become non road legal -
Is it true that uel manifolds encourage ringland fail?
Deacon replied to Blameshift's topic in Mechanical
It will still be road legal with the manifold (first) cat removed -
How much is the sump baffle @Lucas@PartBox?

I've changed the mats, had the binnacle cover and dash panels covered in alcantara, dome light in red and changed the shift knob (either an Anarchy Motive one or a Beatrush one)

Deacon replied to Lucas's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Is there a template available for these for checking fitment? Soooo tempting.
