Difficult to see where they've found the extra travel from though

Reiger make amazing stuff (they make the TMG 86 Rally Car suspension for anyone unfamiliar with them) but are you sure it's 3kg front and rear? That's really soft. Like really soft! Good luck with the sale though - if I didn't have the Motons I'd definitely be considering these 👍

Had a lot of fun at Curborough today and it was nice to do something relatively normal after the last few weeks! Video of one of today's laps:-

I lol'd when I saw the posts on this on the other side that the paint code is h8r for the ginger! Seems so appt.... 😂

I was thinking to not blow it up not hasten it!

@Mike@TD.co.uk if you were going to be using the car for a lot of tracking would there be any additions or changes to your kit you'd suggest?
-
This may be better:-

Definitely. I also have a set of Konig Daylites which are 17x7 et40 and which Konig quote as 6.5kg each but I measured as closer to 7kg. They cost around £600 I think it was (can't quite remember as I've had them over 3 years). Not the greatest picture but does the job:-

Just had a look through the thread. Me and @will300 did do some drive by readings too. I'll see if I can find the data.
-
No worries 👍

Depending how much you want to spend Fox fx005's in 17x7.5 et35 5x100 are 7.3kg a wheel and a set is £430 from demon tweeks. Picture from when I used to run them on my car:-

I may have a cobra non resonated for sale soon. No idea on the Donnington question though.
-
I'm not but if I was it'd have to be the BRZ this time. The front of the facelift 86 is at best a 'double-bager'
-
Silverstone do a 30 minute session with an instructor in your own car for £90 - might be worth a go.
-
Sure I saw 3mm mentioned.
-
It'll be a bit 'floppy'. Probably good for comfort but not for performance.
-
Pilot sport 4's would be worth a look too.
-
@Keethos mentioned they'd said double excess to him too so hopefully the chap I spoke to just had it wrong 🖒
-
Bump for this. Not long now. If Sam's still attending should be the chance for a haircut for anyone needing one too! 😆
-
Interesting on the excess - I was told it's a flat £1000 now rather than double excess which is a shame
-
I had quotes from Morris etc but they wanted around £150 an event which made the Greenlight quote seem like such a bargain.
-
Mines business class 1 use but a lot less miles. The track cover is stunning - I don't think there are any of the other insurers I've come across that even come near it.
-
It's the dreaded insurance renewal time this month. I've been with Chris Knott pretty much since I had my 86 and been really happy but I've moved to Greenlight this year simply because of the excellent additional track cover they offer for £45 with a £1000 excess which is better than any other one off track quotes I've had. Since becoming ill this year I'm no longer able to give my all to sprints but need to start ticking off a few more bucket list items of which more track driving is one. My Greenlight quote was £420 with all mods declared and a £350 total excess.

"16" would alter the gearing as well does anyone use them?" 16's would only alter the gearing if you changed the tyre size which you could do with 17's too
-
Konig Daylite's are also worth a look - a little more expensive but under 7kg a corner. If the rules allow I'd also look at the 16" Konig Helium's
