Guilty pleasures. What would you give up your GT86 for?

2.7 non s mk1 Cayman for me please. In black ideally. Drop on a set of Bilstein b16's and some light, black wheels and job done for me. -

A cayman quite happily -
They're so soft they don't take much heating
-
For the AR1's it'd have to be 255/40/17 looking at the available sizes.
-
If i change the car I'll give you first dibs 👍
-
A 245/40 would work well.
-
A carbon theme running down the centre would look good - lip, bonnet, roof (wrap) and ducktail spoiler maybe?

If you want to use them a lot on the road and track I'd suggest looking at the Michelin Cup 2's as they have newer tyre tech than the ado8rs which are getting on a bit. If it's just for track use and only a tiny bit of road (and not in the wet) the Nankang AR1's are not far off slicks and generate ludicrous grip. (Sorry to deviate from your build @Ade!)

I think it looks pretty perfect on the tyres you have fitted. In fact on the third picture from the bottom it looks like they're a little stretched anyway.
-
It's annoying that the instructions make no mention of them being 'handed' (even if only for the logo).
-
Probably. Although I'm not sure it's worth the hassle to be honest.

Fitted the Perrin cam solenoid covers today. Bit fiddly but not too bad. Spot the mistake though....

Cheers! They are indeed - will be up for sale soon.

Do-Luck Double Six wheels 17x8.5 et43 - 9.3kg
-
Weighed the wheels - 9.3kg each.
-
Really surprised by a couple of things with the Do-Luck wheels now I've had chance to have a good look at them. Each wheel comes with its own valve stem, center cap (which bolts in) and socket (why one per wheel I have no idea) - never seen this before on a set of wheels!
-
New winter wheels arrived today. They're a set of Do-Luck Double Six wheels which are pretty rare and quite old school. They're also MAT formed so nice and strong although not the lightest - I'd guess about 9kg but haven't weighed them yet.

Is it worth contacting someone like Rogue @jhoneyman? They may be interested in it for building a racer from maybe? -

Recent video from Curborough. Motons were on 9/11 spring rates

No idea on the rear travel or droop I'm afraid. Measured to the edge of the sill (not the thin sill joint the body edge) I measured 135mm front and 145mm rear. Why do you ask @Mark@Abbey M/S?

You did say massive tips didn't you.... 😂😂😂

To give them a bit of a try me and Nikki took a spontaneous journey into Wales and put a couple of hundred miles on them today. We drove there with them set soft and back with a stiffer set up I thought would work well on track and wanted to try on the road (c6 r8 front and C4 r5 rear). The journey there was good. There is a little bit of low speed bobbling that still needs to be resolved but otherwise it was quite impressive - comfortable but firm I'd say - very well controlled. The journey back was much stiffer and bumpier. Not a set up I'd want to use for normal road use but liveable if you had to for some reason (can't have been that bad - Nikki slept for most of the return journey!) I think it'll work fairly well on track though. One of the effects of going down on the spring rate a little is that the cup 2's definitely seem to be working better - there is a noticeable improvement in grip. I think the previous set up was a little too stiff for the cup 2's and would work better with a stickier tyre and possibly aero. The other finding is fairly obvious - the car is definitely tracking the road better (it was good before, as those who attended the suspension meet and had a ride can confirm, but is better now). The bumpy b road performance has definitely improved and I'm fairly sure the track times (at least on the cup 2's and in my cars current configuration) will also have been improved too. It's taken a while but I think we are quite close now to a good fast road and very capable track set up.

They're two way adjustable not singles @Mark@Abbey M/S They don't come with springs - you spec them up to your requirements.
