Quick bump for this on Saturday peeps. Anyone looking for suspension options it's a good chance to have a look at and rides in a few.
-
There is also a breakfast meet and sprint on at Curborough on this day too so there's potential to go and watch some sprinting too if people want to.
-
Fingers crossed!

I ran them for almost a year and never had this. If all the collars are properly tightened it would suggest a fault to me.
-
That's a shame as it'd be interesting to see how the billies are.
-
Be interesting to see the difference in the three tein models with edfc

No, you have to sacrifice your soul too! 😂

I'm very confused on the whole balloon tyres comments - will's tyres are not in any way balloon tyres???
-
Don't worry they'll go 60+ mm low. Your axles will give out before the flex a's!
-
On track I ran them one click from full stiff but still not as stiff as I'd have ideally liked.

Pm sent 👍

They definitely do have soft damping - it was one of the things I found that I couldn't get them quite as stiff as I wanted on track. For stiffer springs I think they'd have to be fully revalved which would be pricey!
-
Two main advantages of adjustable ones are it allows you to set the arb preload fully and, the main one, it saves the battle to remove the stock ones!
-
I voted like but only with the supporting mods, wheels, suspension and some sort of body mods above and beyond a simple lip kit

Can you do anything custom on the hoodies @rob275 like I had on the Polo shirts?
-
Cheers @rob275 looking forwards to it

According to GPS it under-read by 2mph with those tyres on. So if the car said I was doing 55 it was actually 53.

I've never bothered changing brakes on a car before but would like to on the 86. I have the pads I want to use but should I also be changing the discs for new ones and would something like the pagid discs that eurocarparts sell be suitable (i.e. if not an upgrade then no worse than stock?)
-
My brake pads are about 10% worn after 3 and a quarter years (I said I don't brake much!) Discs are fine. The question related more to what @Mike mentioned about the issues with different pad material on the same discs.
-
If I do change the discs is there any advantage in replacing them with something else (like an ebc disc) or would a oem replacement set do just as good a job?

A useful article on the tein jp site discussing mono tube and twin tube pros and cons which may add to the discussion here https://www.tein.co.jp/e/special/ni_toryu/
