Not very to be honest - couple of mm maybe? I don't really brake much... 😁
-
A lot is to do with the damper valving rather than just the spring rates as @Ade has said @MikeB - my Motons are now on a 9/11 spring rate but the ride is not too dissimilar to the flex a's I had on which were 6/6. Even the 9/14 rate I tried previously with slightly stiffer damper valving wasn't too bad.
-
Thought yours were the 8/9 @Mike Maybe stick to the 6/7 rates Mike has then @Keethos?
-
I'd agree with @Ade - I think at this price the monosports look like a winner and I'd stay with the 8/9 especially as you're already used to a pretty firm ride.
-
My concern @Keethos with the yellowspeed's is that they have too many features for the price and so the quality may not be the greatest. I'd also agree with @Laurenon the springs.

Only for this year on the external reservoirs altering the class.

I've had less run on me since the update than before. Weird.
-
Will take you up on that @will300!

What would be the best product to use to ensure there is no wax, etc on the areas of the front bumper the TRD canards need to stick to? I've had them for over a year now and thought I best get round to fitting them!
-
Got chance to fit the cup 2's today. Only had chance to have a quick blast but wow. The Motons definitely like working with the cup 2's - the grip and handling is just bonkers.

Cheers @rob275!

I'm not really a detailer - ipa? Where could I get some from?
-
I'm playing too. Amazed by how much stuff I've found in my local area I'd never noticed before and how many complete strangers it's led to conversations with.

3 spoke wheels are definitely an acquired taste - remember when they used to be popular back in the late 90's.
-
These also arrived today

Another quick update. I was back at Moton yesterday. We softened the valving and dropped the rear spring to an 11kg to give 9f/11r. Seems pretty decent for a liveable street spec and good for bumpy track use. We've got a few clunks to try and eliminate and may try a freer flowing piston in the dampers too to soften them just a little more.

Cheers @Ade!

Do you have a copy if that 86cup manual you can share @Ade?
-
Another no for the rat look from me. Think you'll basically make your 86 worthless. If you can't get it fixed by insurance it'd be a perfect excuse for a lot of carbon parts!

4 x Federal 595 RSR tyres in 215/45/17

I'm having a bit of a wheel sort and change around so have for sale 4 Federal 595RS-R tyres in 215/45/17. The two tyres I had on the front have between 5/6 mm of tread remaining, the two I had on the rear have 4/5mm remaining. The tyres were used through the summer last year for approximately 4000 road miles and also did 4 days of sprints at Curborough so some graining on the tyre is evident. I've attached photos of the four tyres together and then each tyre seperately. Each tyre also has the RSR on the sidewall picked out in yellow although this could be easily cleaned off. These tyres are currently £81.90 each as the cheapest price I can find using tyre reviews.com. I'm looking for £160 for all four collected. I'm on the Staffs / West Midlands boarder. The tyres will be off the rims by the 23rd of July and so available from then. Any questions please ask :-)

Yes they are a semi slick. On the straight channels logic these wouldn't have been semi slicks either...
-
I ran the federal 595 RSR's through last summer and they were fine so I'm sure these won't be a major problem either. Cup 1's I wouldn't have fancied so much on the road but cup 2's definitely have better road manners.

Payment sent 👍

v105s are street tyres though, these are track tyres
