Quite possibly. There also seems to be a bit of manufacturing differences which could account for it - e.g. when I only had lowering springs I had more rear camber on one side than the other, which I've seen other people have but then some have pretty even camber. I guess a relatively small chassis difference will make a decent amount of difference overall to the camber, etc shown

I had -2.5° on flex As and could have gone higher
-
For the Flex A's you won't need camber bolts - they have camber adjustable top mounts
-
Have you had the tuner specifically install a pops and bangs map though? Tuners don't do that as default as it's basically badly mapped to get that to happen. You specifically have to ask for it (why you'd want to though is another issue....)

Bump and price reduced to £40.

That sounds like a good plan. If you like the Flex A's but want firmer valving you could always order a set of the CSG spec Flex A's from the states to combine with the EDFC set up.

Looks like a DAB aerial to me. Maybe they had a different headunit but swapped it back to oem when they traded it in?

@Rexer200 I think there are two big problems with getting opinions from others on something like suspension. Firstly most people have only owned one set up and will say it's the best but don't have a comparison and most people don't want to say that what they've spent their hard earned money on isn't as good as something else. Secondly suspension seems to be one of those things that's very personal in terms of preference. E.g. I like very little roll in my car and lots of grip so the set up I have with the Motons and bigger ARB's etc suits me but someone else might not like it at all. In terms of gathering opinions I think they'll always be somewhat biased but can be useful for highlighting issues people have had which may steer you away from a certain set up for instance - like maybe issues with longevity or rust or something.

Moton / AST don't make rear raised top mounts. Church is correct about the motion ratio - the front is approximately 1 and the rear approximately 0.75 so a 4/5kg spring set up is actually approximately 4/3.75kg at the wheels.

That's what I have and AJ is getting yes

Finding them too softly valved? That's what I thought and led me to the Motons. Tein released some which are between the SRC's and the MonoSports. They'd be interesting to try but not heard of anyone running them.

Mine didn't come via FedEx so I'm not sure sorry. Most of the stuff I've ordered from Japan in the past has been pre delivery but I did once have something where the bill didn't appear until almost a month later!

Nigel's were the original ohlins and he had just Flex A's - no edfc. Meister R has excellent customer service and refunded my money. I'll say no more. Motons are amazing. Low speed ride is not as good as e.g. the Flex A's but they are much better on big bumps, potholes, etc and at high speed they are amazing.

You have to contact AST / Moton direct for pricing.

@Rexer200 Nigel who used to be on here swapped the original Ohlins for Tein Flex A's and said he preferred it. He's the only person I've heard of to have tried both. I had the Flex A's and they are excellent on the road as the hydraulic bump stops really help. I now have Moton's with remote reservoirs - they too are excellent for soaking up bumps however the remote reservoirs do add an element of almost lag to them so they aren't at their happiest at lower speeds on little bumps. The big problem with the 86 suspension wise is that the rear dampers are so short so you'll never really get a 'magic carpet' ride from them. (Just for context I've tried stock suspension, AST lowering springs, Meister R GT1's, Meister R Zeta R's, Tein Flex A's and Moton Clubsports - on which I've tried well into double figures of spring set ups ranging from 3-14kg. I use the car on both road and track but don't use it daily).

@Church I did longer sessions on track on these than I did on the PS4's and felt they took longer to overheat. Obviously they are a road not track tyre though.
-
Grip Vs PS4's was equivalent, sidewall stiffness was not noticeable - so suggesting also very similar. Wet, only on road - again no complaints. They seem VERY similar to the PS4's to me.
-
They took a full day on Bedford (approx 175 track miles) and behaved as the PS4's did. The wear was very limited so no reason to believe they won't last reasonably well.
-
Another vote for the Maxxis here. I've had the PS4's before and I'd say the Maxxis are just as good (and possibly even slightly better).

I've used Japanparts quite a few times and always found them to be really good.
-
I got them from Japanparts and they took just under three weeks from ordering to being delivered to me.

Last bit of the exterior pieces arrived recently - STi rear spats
