Ordered some new tyres to try out a few weeks ago which arrived today and were fitted to a set of my wheels. Looking forward to seeing how these perform.

When you say such a service or advice what do you mean exactly? Companies like tein can custom make dampers for chosen spring rates for you as can places like ast/moton. Centre gravity are amazing at setting up suspension but don't make it.

I was just wondering if you'll be developing any manifolds for the 86/brz?

Sorry I forgot to update this - these are now sold

My new suspension came with its own drop links so I have these whiteline heavy duty front drop links for sale. They are far chunkier than the stock drop links and would be perfect for someone upgrading to coilovers. They have been on my car for about a year and have covered approximately 8000 miles. They retail for £115 including VAT. I'm looking for £65 collected or brought to a meet or £65 + delivery posted. I would guess postage would be around £5-10 as they are quite hefty. I'll be at the Curborough day on the 30th of June or the Oulton Park Tuner Fest event on the 9th of July so could easily bring them with me. Any questions please ask :-)

Roger Clark motorsports are the home of the Gob stopper and Gob stopper 2 which just set the fastest goodwood Hill climb record. Agree with @Ade looks like a tomei copy (no bad thing)

Just to add to this the winter tyres performed way beyond expectations and handled everything that was thrown at them apart from the final gymkhana when they, in f1 speak, fell off a cliff and became the slippiest thing ever leading to me gaining the award for most sliddy. However, this was after a day of extreme use (speeds in excess of 120mph, emergency stops from 90mph, a handling circuit session, etc) and in a temperature of 28 degrees c. For normal road use and spirited driving there would be absolutely no issue running the Nokian WRA3's all year round and it really showed why they make such excellent winter tyres.

Mine are all seasons in Europe. They'll be fine - a way better tyre than the primacies

Good job they're good tyres I feel

The new tyres I've ordered are on back order and, as my titans went yesterday, I find myself on my winters. Not entirely what I'd anticipated mid July!

Rota Titan 17x9" with Contisport 5 tyres

Wheels now sold 😀 -
Rota Titan's in 17x9" et42 with continental sport contact 5 tyres in 235/45/17 including rota centre caps and spigot rings. Wheels have been refurbished in bronze and are perfect with no marks. The tyres have 5/6mm of tread each. Weight on the wheel and tyre package is just under the weight of the stock 17's with tyres. Pictures struggle to catch the colour but it's almost identical to the Rays bronze. I'm looking for £650 collected and I'm located on the Staffs / West Midlands boarder. Please note wheels are currently on the car so I'd need a few days notice to take them off. Any questions please ask :-)

To me that looks like the same issue I was having on my Federals last year after multiple Curboroughs where the outside edge is wearing more than I'd have expected especially considering the camber I had. What is your camber set to?

Came across this brochure giving full details of the MY2017 Brz - mainly based on the US market but with details of RoW cars too. The 86 will presumably be almost identical. 17MY_BRZ_1.pdf

Snow foamed with bilt hamber foam. Washed with autoglym conditioning shampoo and then waxed with mcguires carnauba (deep crystal I think) wax. Basically what was lying around in the shed, lol!

First time I've felt well enough to clean my car for about 4 months. Grabbed a few slightly 'arty' shots:- Metal flakes in the paint reflecting the sky:- Front:- Rear showing the carbon weave on the spoiler:-

It was indeed @Keethos but one that had become pretty much a pure track car.

Spent some of today at Moton to try some different springs. Going really soft didn't really work - in fact it made the car quite harsh and disconnected. So today we tried the opposite and went pretty stiff on the spring rates - 9 front and 14 rear. Common sense would suggest this should be horrific but it's actually much, much better. 14 is a little stiff for the rear however for road use so Moton are getting a selection of 10, 11, 12 and 13's in for us to try next time with the thoughts being it's probably going to end up as 9/11 or 10/12. I'm honestly staggered by how good the ride is on those springs but then it's the sort of springs the Motons are made for. In fact while we were looking through the springs they have in stock they had some 26kg springs which they use with these dampers on some porsches!
