I have the seperate track wheels and tyres so they're only for road use and work very well for that.
-
For daily usage I'm finding them fine. I like the fact they raise the car 9mm and so I've been able to raise the suspension height a little but still keep the arch gap down. Not sure how they'd be on track though. Going to try 255/40 next I think.

17x9" et42 with 235/45/17 Another tyre option with not quite as much stretch @don

Bottom by a mile!

I can hear a slight noise at the end when you blip the throttle a bit but difficult to tell if it's something or just the noise from the throttle being blipped a few times. What about attaching a camera outside and recording?

Did some re-badging a while back and added a Pistonheads smiley

So you want a turboed two litre flat four?

Porsche flat four turbo 2.5 swap into an '86? 😈 -
Do mine?
-
I've got one but with a broken clip where the two halves clip together. If that's any use to anyone they're more than welcome to it for free.

Measured it today - I got approximately 340mm from the wheel centre to the flat edge of the arch. Dug out my measurements from the same place when the car was stock and I had 370mm all round apart from the drivers rear that was 380mm. So approximately a 30mm drop all round.

Bottom edge of the little pillar that runs up the edge of the fixed piece of triangular glass where the rubber seal rubs it @daidaiiro
-
I'll measure mine tomorrow and get it posted up @Ade. I believe it's about 330mm front and rear though and I measured mine as 370mm front and rear stock.
-
I think production has been changed of the rubber seal that causes it now so it only effects the earlier cars.
-
I have seen it suggested that it's a better mod to do with a clutch change so maybe I'll hold out on that part.
-
Engine oil plate and window panel rust.
-
Pretty much my next sets of mods you've just had done so I'll look forwards to your updates. I'm also considering a lightweight flywheel.
-
Is the price listed for the wheels right as the brand new ones in this size are only £620?

@Lauren's suggestion is on sale here:- http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-alpine-ine-w925r_p-28178.htm?gclid=CjwKEAjwjca5BRCAyaPGi6_h8m8SJADryPLhiMPnj0hgF6WB7Y12Zbo7-4dHRh25FMWb7c-TYqxOtRoCn1_w_wcB Just under £700.

@Ade I saw you post on my thread on the other side - apologies for not replying I'm not posting on there anymore. In terms of the bushes I definitely agree that the insert adds more whine although it does seem to decrease with time I've found. Not had any issues with any of the other bushes since they've been fitted. Still need to get a full, proper geometry and suspension set up so once that's done I should hopefully get a better view of how it's all working together.
-
That'd be appreciated, cheers!
-
I'm surprised by this. I'm running one with stock brakes and feel it makes a noticeable difference from being without it too.
-
Do you have centre of wheel to arch ride height measurements for yours Ade?
-
I'm sure @Mark-in-Stoke's turbo would give it a run for its money!
