The Curborough dates are all weekdays @Ade - that's why I'm limited to one this year as I'm at work for the rest.
-
Do you mean the Zeta S? I had then on my car for a month or so. I have the Tein Flex A's now which I really rate. The Flex Z's also get really good reports and are even cheaper.
-
Challenge accepted! Although I'll have to make that August date really count...
-
Cheers @Lauren! Although it was health better rather than skill better I meant! 😆
-
If I can get better I'd definitely like to try a round or two this year.

One more picture I forgot to add earlier:-

If it's wet I'll use the Contis but if it's dry I'll switch over to the track wheels with the Federal's on. From what I've heard the Contis will get destroyed pretty quickly on a dry track.

No didn't do it in the end.

Cheers! Geometry was done at AA Sport in Stafford. In terms of difference there wasn't any major changes to what I was running already to be honest so I don't think there will be much to notice. I'll report back after I've put a few miles on with anything I notice though.
-
Finally had the summers put on today while having the geometry set up. (Excuse the state of the car I'm currently out of action where car cleaning is concerned!) The wheels are Rota Titan's in 17x9 et42 finished in a custom bronze (which the people who've seen them in the flesh will be able to confirm bears little resemblance to the colour the pictures show!) fitted with 235/45/17 Continental Sport Contact 5's. Wheels and tyres weighed in at 18.1kg. When I weighed the stock wheels and tyres I got them as 18.7kg so a (cough) massive 600g per wheel saved. However, the fact there is any weight saving at all with that much wider wheels and tyres is pretty good. Geometry was set to -2.7 degrees camber at the front with 0 toe and at the rear -2.2 degrees camber with 0.25 toe in.

Really nice thread but please can you post the updates in seperate posts? It's a right PITA having to scroll back up when you've clicked on new post and then find the right part of the first post!

16x7 or 17x8 seems doable but 16x8 seems to be a total no go in et35 :-(
-
Seems to be a bit of a rockinghorse poo size @Riceburner! Best I can find is enkei rpf1's which are available as 16x8 5x100 et35 but are split 6 spoke rather than true multispoke.

What offset are you looking for @Riceburner?

Thought this might be useful for people who have bought their 86's used and are unsure whether they have a 'new', more powerful, or 'old' battery. First picture is the 'new' battery (you can see it's all black):- Second picture is the 'old' battery (you can see it's white with a black top):-

Had my third year service and first mot last week. One of the things I thought was quite interesting was the brake pad wear. After 3 years and 23000 miles (including numerous days sprinting and a fair amount of fast road use) my fronts are worn 20% and my rears 10% so by my reckoning that means the front pads should be good for 15 years of use and the rears 30! This seems to sum it up:-

Welcome on board! Be good to see what you have planned for it.

BRZ & 86 Aftermarket/Replacement Steering Wheels w/ Airbag Compatibility!
Deacon replied to 86WORX's topic in 86WORX
I'm a big fan of the toms one and the keys racing one. Particularly like the fact the keys one bring the wheel closer to you. -
It's the arb drop link. It was wedged in place but when checked up on the ramp you can see the results above. The back end had felt a bit lively but I'd put that down to the desperate need for an alignment and the winter tyres not being happy in the milder temperatures.

Brand new genuine HKS oil filter for sale. Picture below:- Located on the West Midlands / South Staffs border. Looking for £10 + p&p or I can bring it to Japfest.

So MOT was yesterday and I'm sad to say it failed 😭 due to this:- (Snapped drop link) I spoke to James at Amber and he arranged for another set to be sent out straight away. They arrived today and were fitted at RRG and a nice new MOT certificate issued. Big thanks to both Richard at RRG and James at Amber for getting it all sorted for me.
