From page 1 Colours: Hoodies: Red, Grey, Black, Navy, Purple, Blue (It's relatively light) ☺ -
Definitely my favourite wheels on the 86. Looks awesome.
-
Yeah Rimstyle is wrong as you can see! The wheels have been on for about 6 months - absolutely no fitment problems.
-
I think on their old suspension line up (pre flex Z and flex a) it used to be 7/7 but changed when they revamped it.
-
6/6 is standard for the flex a's as far as I know?
-
The standard tein rates (6/6) - I figured they've developed them with those rates and so I'd give them a try. They seem to work very well.
-
When I had the GT1's fitted I didn't know they hadn't been fully developed on the 86 platform and they basically didn't work well at all - they had a really horrible bounce like the front and back dampers were not working together well. I took the car back to B.A.D who developed the GT1's with Meister a couple of times but they still couldn't get them working properly so they put a set of the Zeta's on to get me home. I ran those for about a month. I found them to be quite harsh and have a slightly brittle feeling - similar to how some lowering springs can feel. I swapped to the flex a's as I was intrigued by the hydraulic bump stop and had read that tein were on their 3rd gen of development with the 86 platform. I have found the flex a's to be excellent. I haven't had standard suspension for a long time but other members who have have ridden in the car with me and suggested it rides better than stock and this is with it being lowered approximately 45mm. Hope that helps but if you have any more questions please ask.

I've got a Cobra non-res catback on mine with black slash cut tips. It was a little loud when I first had it but the sound has mellowed and having the cold start mapped out is a big help. I've also still got all of the cats. In terms of added power I doubt it (maybe a couple of hp being optimistic) I like the sound and it's not too intrussive for daily use or just cruising on the motorway. I've added a couple of videos below of in car and out of car on track to give an idea of how the exhaust sounds. In car:- Out of car:- Obviously the GoPro doesn't have the greatest mike to give the most accurate sound but it does give you an idea.

I've had a few set ups - AST/CG lowering springs, Meister R GT1's, Meister R Zeta's and now Tein Flex A's. I've also got whiteline rear adjustable camber bushes, whiteline front and rear adjustable anti-roll bars, whiteline front and rear adjustable drop links, whiteline rear anti-roll bar braces and a set of whiteline front castor bushes waiting to be fitted. These are complemented by front and rear carbon strutbraces and a TRD door stabiliser kit. Suspension preferences always seem very personal but if anyone's got any questions about any of the bits I've got or ran previously I'd be happy to answer.

@will300 any good to you? -
These are my winter wheels. They are Fox FX005's in 17x7.5 et35 and weigh in at 7.4kg each. Again a useful saving over stock. A fitted pic
-
These are one of my sets. They are Konig Daylite's in 17x7" et40. They weigh in at just under 7kg each so, as Lauren said, a useful saving over the stock wheels at 9.2kg each. And a fitted pic I use these as my track wheels.

No I agree. However the Toyota part is cheaper than the rebranded cusco, etc so could be worth picking up new (a bit off the original topic though I know!)
-
The shorter final drives from cusco, etc are rebranded Toyota parts. Found in some lexus's over here I think.
-
I'll have to be a no on this now as sadly it's outside of my Easter holidays. I'll look forwards to seeing plenty of pictures though!

Deacon replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
The problem is the two main options (berk and cobra) both seem to need the hot as mount doom scenario to work 😢 -
See, point proved! 😂
-
But I'll need help Mike keeping this rowdy rabble in line!
