There are the 'fixes' people mentioned but the plate is a red herring - it's just where the oil gathers the leak is from further down the block. There is a dealer fix and RRG have fixed mine after a botched effort from the supplying dealer.
-
Check to see if you have the oil weep - if you put your hand down the back of the engine on the drivers side and run your fingers over the edge of the triangular plate you may find oil. It actually comes from further down the block, gathers here and drips onto the exhaust. This then gives you a burning smell (although I wouldn't describe it as bacon!)

Just having a look on the US forum and they say it definitely does cover the holes.
-
I believe so yes - will confirm for sure when it arrives.
-
The flex a's ride beautifully too. Seems to be win win.
-
It's the handsfree mic I believe.

Grabbed a quick couple of pictures tonight to show how it's sitting now a bit clearer:-
-
The spoiler is the leg motorsport clubsport ducktail. The drop links were part of the whiteline adjustable arb kits - the front kit was the bar, bushes and drop links, the rear the bar, bushes, braces and droplinks.
-
From the whiteline site:- PRODUCT BENEFITS Rear sway bar mount support brace increases the stiffness of the rear sway bar mount & reduce the likelihood of bending or cracking of the OE mount due to the increased loads placed upon it.
-
It's part of the whiteline rear arb kit not something I've bought separately so I couldn't really say anymore on what it's for sorry.
-
It's a bracing bar from the arb mount to the lower arm.
-
Richard (Riceburner) very kindly provided me with some pictures of the fitting:- And the only 'finished' picture I have at the moment:- I'm hoping my new spoiler will arrive next week and I can get that fitted, the car cleaned and some better pictures next weekend. As always, a massive thanks to Richard and the team at RRG!
-
Not sure. The flex A have a hydraulic bump stop which is supposed to help soak up the bigger bumps.
-
Had the tracking info for my spoiler and that's on its way too! :-)
-
It's ok James the dog house I'm in has space for another!
-
I spoke to Matt at Ace. They'll also do 10% off the price of the overpipe and can ship it in the same box as the 4-1 manifold for anyone thinking of going that route (*cough* James *cough*
-
The group buy needs to have five participants (including me not plus me - I misread Matt's email) so the group buy will stay open until then James. The numbers on them do look very good - I'm still not sure which I'm going for yet but I think probably the 4-2-1 for my usage.
-
I'll start a list:- 1. Deacon 2. Micmason123

So the next round of upgrades is ordered from James at Amber and booked in with Richard at RRG to be fitted on friday. I've got the following going on:- Tein Flex A (wanted to try these due to the hydraulic bump stop they feature) Whiteline adjustable front and rear ARB kits MTEC shift springs Shortened headlight adjustment arm Richard is also replacing the underbonnet clips that were broken by the incompetent windscreen fitters. Geometry is going to be set to -2.5 degrees camber front and -2 rear with 0 toe front and just a little at the rear. Looking forward to it all being done!
