Perspex sheet with holes in that I cable tie to the grill. I can't remember the exact temp now as it's a few years ago - 92° maybe?
-
Few things you could do that me and Will did was fit a higher temp thermostat for the oil cooler and also use a blanking plate in front of the oil cooler.

Not really sure what you mean - they just need to sign themselves up to the forum

4x 245/35/18 Maxxis Victra Sport 5 tyres for sale. 95% of the performance of a Michelin PS4 for a fraction of the cost. Each has 6-7mm tread, no punctures or repairs. I'm looking for £160 for the 4, cheapest I can find these new currently is £86 a corner so bag yourself a bargain! I'm located on the South Staffordshire / West Midlands border. -

Kouki 86 low mileage direction - Supercharger/Lightweight/GR
Deacon replied to Feemono's topic in Modifications
I don't think it's going to be the cure you're looking for. I noticed no difference with it on / off mine. Sorry! -
The size range seems a little limited at the moment - e.g. there's no wide 17's, etc

Lightness is certainly possible if you're prepared to make the usability sacrifices - Revolution in Japan and a chap in the US managed to get there's down to under a tonne. You could also swap the Tomei manifold for a longtube manifold to benefit from the extra power and torque you'd gain there for minimal weight change. -
I saw an approx 10° reduction in oil temps with the vents. Vents also add a little aero as they allow pressurised air to escape. Mines a carbon replacement so can't comment on the effects on the standard bonnet but I don't see bonnet flex now with a vented bonnet.

I've got a Rogue Motorsport dual resonated high flow cat pipe on mine. Not had any MOT issues and it's certainly not noisy.

My Do-Luck Double Six wheels are for sale. These are Japanese made wheels and incredibly rare - you won't find another 86/BRZ on these in the UK and quite possibly the world. The wheels are MAT formed for extra strength and weight saving. They are 17x8.5 et43 5x100 and the exact centre bore for the 86/BRZ meaning spigot rings are not required. The centre caps are bolt in meaning no chance of losing them which is a nice feature. The wheels have been professionally refurbished by JP Alloys near Cannock in Porsche Carrera red. The wheels are fitted with 225/45/17 Nokian WRA4 tyres. These are winter tyres but are also quite happily used throughout the year (in some areas of Europe they are sold as an all season tyre). All tyres have between 6/7mm of tread remaining (Nokians have the tyre mm built into the tread as can be seen on the picture). There is no kerbing on any of the wheels and I would describe them all as excellent condition but one wheel does have a stone chip (shown on the photos below). I'm looking for £750 and I'm located on the West Midlands / South Staffs border and due to the size and weight these are collection only. Any questions, please ask.

Absolute bargain for someone! Good luck with the sale

The oil consumption doesn't sound right - have you had it checked out?
-
I don't have a major problem with doing it. I swapped the thermostat for a lower temperature one and just use a plate to blank the cooler off through the winter.
-
There'll probably be a thermostat (I don't know much about the TD kit) but it's usually quite high as default. Even with a thermostat there is still oil pass through though so it'll still cool a reasonable amount compared to not running a cooler thus giving the need to blank it off come winter time.
-
An oil cooler should sort it out without too much issue especially on the road. With an oil cooler fitted I don't think you'll trouble the temps much on the road and will probably want to block it come winter time.
-
I have my alarm set for 120 and usually cool down when it reaches around that point up but will let it get to 125ish on occasions. Do you have an oil cooler and is it on track or the road?
-
I've had the smoked ones for about 4/5 years. Never had any issues
