Cracking meet guys. Thanks for making me feel so welcome on my first meet. The variety was awesome co-ordsport was awesome. The weather held up as well! I am really looking forward to the next meet! Hi. Anybody know of a bonnet bra for the 86? Kind of getting annoyed at stone chips. Google returned nothing. Can anyone help?

Aight. I get the idea. Just thought it would be useful for function rather then style. I do agree some of them look horrid. But they don't seem to exist for the 86 so I can't get one anyways. Will have to look into other options for paint protection.

So up doing further research I am going to get all the scratches done by a professional. I would rather get it done properly then bodging it with chipex.

So it rained today and I finally got to see how good my first detail is at beading and how good this harly wax actually is. I am very impressed. I am still a newbie to all these things but I would say that its a fairly good job!

Do you always drive with sport mode on?

Evening. I have a few minor scratches on my car and 2 big ones (big ones are getting sorted by a professional bodyshop). Road rash as well but that is quite typical. I was thinking of trying chipex, does anybody have any experience with this? I don't currently have any photos but I can get some. Anybody had any success with any other products? What would you recommend?

Damn. Thanks for the history lesson and some interesting insight. I would love to go to Japan and do something like that as well. I happen to be a huge fan of Initial D (hence my love for 86's, also jealous you have a proper 86!). Knowing that I still have a rare car is nice though. I like the extra bodykit and the TRD exhaust system is nice. It is quite raspy and louder then you expect. It's nothing obnoxious though. Might need to PM you for some info. I am thinking of doing exactly what you are planning to do and I have no idea where to start!

Ah I didn't know that. That is very insightful and is so much clearer now. It's a shame they don't come as the TRD from factory, but I guess each TRD is different for each Country. The price was high for the car and the TRD was announced in the 86's infancy so people were skeptical I presume. Thanks for the info @Lauren

Well the VIN is just a generic one from what I have read up on. I supposed its just the number of the GT86 as each one comes to the UK or out of the factory. There needs to be an official database or something.
