For a fairly miserable cold day we had 16 GTs plus a Nismo Nissan and an Impreza. Thanks to Mark from Abbey Motorsport, and to Harry Haddock and Bles from this forum for turning up. I'll put up a couple of pics in the appropriate section, as it was a good turn out.

Previously, over on the Owners Club forum, four of us each organised one unofficial "local" meet , moving around the Sussex, Surrey, Kent areas; to see if they would prove a popular idea. In each area, each person would volunteer to choose an establishment, or favourite road, or both that they thought would appeal to other GT/BRZ owners. So no official meet organiser, just each person using their local knowledge to best effect. As it seemed to work quite well, we are going to try this again, and would like to invite Drivers Club members along. Our first meet is organised by Nails (Mike) and is in West Sussex. Hope some of you can make it. Saturday 31st March, 11am The Gardeners Arms, Ardingly, near Haywards Heath, RH17 6TJ If we meet at 11am we should be able to park together in the car park. We can then have some food and drink. Please reply if you can make it and I will keep the list updated.

Yesterday the need for bigger brakes was satisfied. Still running in at the moment, but they sure fill the space behind the front wheels!

In the planning.........

Very nice! I think the stripes work, with the tinted lights and other black accents. Roll on Tuesday then!

Hello Mike. See you are on here as well! This club organises a club display at Beaulieu in the summer, at the "Simply Japanese" event. That is the most local for us Sussex peeps.

48aH Panasonic battery replaced under guarantee January 2015 (not quite 2 years old). The 65ah Toyota battery replacement recently failed completely and would not hold a charge at all. Very efficient Yeomans Toyota did not even bother to check the battery and after one hour I left with a new Toyota battery (65A again) fitted under guarantee. No quibble at all, so very pleased. But it suggests that a three year life for these "replacement" 65A batteries may be the extent of their ability. The dealers only comment was that they have a lot of trouble with batteries on our cars.

Considering 18 inch wheels, but I would like a tyre profile that would raise the ground clearance of the car, as sometimes over speed bumps my Cosworth exhaust grounds slightly, and i don't want to make this worse. Car is lowered one inch on Eibachs. I know this will compromise sidewall flex and handling, but they are less of a priority for me. Any help greatfully received.

I have the F1 AS3s all round, and it was choice between them and PS4s. In the end I felt the rim protection was better on the F1s, and that was more important for me than the additional benefits of the PS4s. The F1s I find very quiet and give a super ride on lowered suspension.

Welcome to "black club".

I have the same make and size tyres as benmmellor. They have excellent rim protection, which was important to me.

Thanks Andy. And of course, it was yesterday!!

Thanks Jamie. Is anyone allowed to "observe"? Was quite interested in one of these, but a fourth Toyota to look after, when I don't drive the GT enough, is a bit much.

Yaris GRMN day? Invite only?

I have 18x8 et 48 OZ on mine. They did not supply ET35, so I have retained the spacers I had to make up the flushed look, 10mm front and 20mm rear. Needs a little more camber on the front I think to draw the top of wheel in a bit and match the rear.

That is a great look!
