The "OEM wheel club" met under Martin's suggestion at the Motor Circuit for a chin wag, photo shoot and a drive out. Was great to meet everyone, and thanks especially to Martin (BigV) for a great route through Sussex and Hampshire. Special mention to Sam for coming all that way from Somerset and bringing along a BRZ! First time I have seen this many cars together in one place with standard wheels. Here's some photos to start off with. Two Giallos!! Entrance and exit Yes - 86!! Yes -86!! Colour scheme worked out well. Procession away from Goodwood And through the villages of Sussex and Hampshire we went, keeping together somehow!!

Hello Nik - yes I believe they will. I asked them to spot the subtle differences between our car and standard, and they got most of them - so the seeds are implanted.

All on std suspension apart from me and the BRZ, I believe Must be southerners being slow on the mods front, Lauren, although there were lots of ideas flying about, and several are new owners.

Almost full tank of fuel, but boot emptied and spare wheel removed, 6.58 secs. Will try launch control next time, when the fuel is low.

You can see that Julia is happy with the noise levels (outside anyway!) And then a remap - not shiny, but beautiful in a different way!! Very happy chap (me) left Fensport, that's for sure!! Happy to share the experience with anyone interested!!

Welcome Matt. It was good that your ladies found there was more room than expected in the rear seats!

She had to have a lie down after witnessing Chris adopt this beautiful pose, especially for the camera!! -
I have a three quarter size plate on the front, correct spacing, border, and font; and this plate can be read by the cameras okay. The car has been scrutinised by a police officer while I was doing a photo shoot on a lighthouse access road. He kindly pointed out that I should not hang around too long. He was not interested in the plate.

Have mine set on oil temp most of the time

Had a quick attempt at a 0-100 time today, using my P3 gauge. Previously was 7.6 secs, as expected. Today was 6.86 - how appropriate! Next time I'll use the map features to see if i can improve on that.

Yes, I agree Lauren. I have done a good few track days over the years, but always in AWD cars..Got invited to a track day at Goodwood on the launch of the Impreza hatch in 2008, and enjoyed the fact that I was in "their" car (with instruction) and could explore what it could do. I never really enjoyed a track day in my own car after that, especially as the last one I did at Brands in 2010, where people were overtaking on both sides of other cars and were not black flagged. I loved my Impreza too much at the time!! I was hoping at Silverstone that I could update my knowledge of RWD in someone else's car for the reasons stated above.

Can't fault you there, Lauren

What I would say, and I did have fun, is that the instructors will not let you explore the limits of the car really. This may be due to the fact that there is more powerful machinery out there with you at the same time. Also, Silverstone is very wide compared to other tracks I have driven, and it proved difficult for me to get to place the car sweetly in the time available (20 mins). I had been hoping to take advantage of the fact that it was not my car I was exploring the limits of. Oh well! I was however surprised how sure-footed it was in the very wet conditions - lots of standing water about! Back there towards the end of June so my daughter can complete her session, which was cancelled due to the damaging winds.

No James, not yet. Today had me stood in a layby on dual carriageway. Julia then floored it out of the layby so I could listen to the noise. IT WAS QUITE NOISY. She went up to the roundabout and came back down the other side so I could hear what 70mph sounded like. I was very pleased with what I heard - not noisy at all, but purposeful, with a lovely "nee-ow" as she went off down the road. I enjoyed the "ne-ow" that the UEL gives you on videos I have heard, but was not expecting it to be as pronounced as it was, from the EL. Yours must sound awesome in that regard. Done the pedal press in accessory mode, and feel like it made a slight difference. Bit more shove in the passenger seat for me today. Wife has big grin and says things like "I couldn't help myself".

Great write up James. Bet my car is really quiet in comparison!!! Look forward to sitting next to you in your cabin and shouting!! Epic!!

Thursday James. Drive home was pretty special. And drives since, exploring the improvements, have me falling in love with the car all over again. Hope you are feeling the same!! Keith

Useful advice - thank you!

Well, any excuse I guess, Jay!

Thanks for the tip Keith. Don't recall Adrian mentioning this. Not found a dead zone that I can feel?
