My dealer replaced my original Panasonic battery under warranty (16mths old). The OEM replacement (Toyota badged) was 65Ah rather than the 48Ah original, which is not up to the job if you don't use the car regularly. My original had a faulty cell and would not charge properly.

Being a big fan of the Vulcan, we popped in to see XM655 on our way to Gaydon, as it lives only a few miles away. Being a member of the association, we were able to enter the pan for some photos. However, they often have Saturday visits from car clubs. You get a tour of the cockpit and group photo opportunities. Maybe I could organise something for the future? Google Xm655 for more information. Keith has a Subaru for family duties. Julia has a Toyota for work. And now we have a black manual Subota GT with mods just for fun.

Just glancing through this week's Autocar, and I find a suggestion that you can turn the headrests round the other way, to better accomodate the wearing of a crash helmet. There you go!

Long term keeper too! Too many smiles to get rid. And each modification seems to make it seem "new" again! But everybody's circumstances are different. It's such a shame so many seem to be short term ownerships

I put mine on a trickle charger, and have been unscrewing the cell caps (old habit) whilst charging. The Toyota service manager said I did not need to do that with "our" batteries because they are sealed units and I am only trickle charging. Any thoughts/comments on this would be helpful please.
